I bought one of those new. It's a pretty crappy toaster, toasts really unevenly and the lever broke off. I only use it for long breads now that I got this reconditioned one at Amazon.

read the reviews. some say that the finish wears off and so on. if you're looking to buy cookware, there was a calphalon sale yesterday at amazon where you could get stuff at 90% off. I'd stick around for another one of those. this is the link (all the stuff was about half of what it's priced for now). http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...402318-9606227

I'll post a thread if I see another one of these.

not part of the sale, but these things are really great and are pretty cheap

I use them when catering dinner parties and cooking classes and they're very easy to clean.

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend going with Calphalon for cookware. I've had my current stuff from them for about 15 years, it gets tons of use, and it's still going strong.
