RIP illustrator Tony Stella

I originally posted this in the Arrow thread, but kinda thought it deserved its own thread as his work has appeared on releases from so many of them. He passed away yesterday as far as I can tell. He was easily one of my favorites when it came to new sleeve/slipcover art for this hobby. :(

His recent work on Arrow’s releases of the Golden Princess Hong Kong films beat the other boutique offerings hands-down (I don’t mind Shout using original HK poster art, either, but they alter them a bit too much).

His website:

^ And earlier Bruce Lee stuff, of course, but he also did lots of horror, drama, and sci-fi reimaginings as well, plus all sorts of standalone commissioned and promotional pieces:

This really bummed me out when I heard the news yesterday. One of my favorite artists working today.

Sad news, I love that classic vintage feel to his work.

Talented fellow. Sad to read of his passing, even if I never knew his name until reading this thread. Really liked his work.
