Sounds like it's just going to be a bunch of dump-bin crap.

The only possible destination remaining would be Walmart. No other retail chain is pushing cheap media anymore on any level. If it's the exact same titles Mill Creek previously distributed, then it's a nothing burger.

Even worse is all this stuff ends up DOA and straight into dump bins on the release day.

Would that include the movie “DOA”, which they’ve released before?

The "no upgrades" part is a bit disappointing to me. There are a lot of Touchstone movies that only got nonanamorphic dvd releases, and when I saw this my first hope was for improved releases blu-ray or at least DVD. But a lot of those movies will probably be ignored.

It’s always possible some of the non-anamorphic DVD’s had at least HD masters done that went to cable or streaming but never a physical release. Good examples are What About Bob? and The Ref. I have them in HD in my VUDU account. I’d take a cheap Blu-ray of those.

So, Disney likes to make shit expensive, and Mill Creek likes to make shit cheap.

Should be an interesting pairing.

This isn't new. You just repeated the exact same thing from post 1 from back in January.

Not really. Looks like Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm have been added to the list.

Which is kind of baffling. Marvel is Disney's current crown jewel, and Lucasfilm is basically Star Wars and Indiana Jones, which still seem way too high profile to warrant the Mill Creek treatment. Maybe they're going to get Howard the Duck?

I can see Disney passing off stuff like Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures; I doubt there's much interest in Outrageous Fortune and Encino Man these days.

What they wrote is not true. There’s no source for this new information, and a quick google search shows no new announcement. This is likely just a spambot generated text.

If the quality mirrors the Miami Vice blu-ray set than those releases are going to look like shit.

The three hour director's cut that probably only exists in my mind.

If the extra time was more Lea, I'd go for it.
