I want it to happen
Could the pandemic be the reason some of these titles did not come out?

Well, in as much that people started using the hell out of Disney Plus and Disney realized they could get monthly subscriptions instead of occasional retail sales.

The previous blu-ray is still readily available. And if you don't mind used, it can be had for super cheap as well.

Hey, someone was saying that "The Jungle Book (1967)" is being considered to be part of "Disney Classic Games" (that featured "Aladdin" and the Lion King"), so maybe there's still a chance that that new Blu-ray/DVD edition (whether or not there will be a 4K UHD edition) might be whether or not announced sooner or later.

Yep, that's the one I have for now. Besides, that movie is currently unavailable in retail stores (except thrift/online stores) and/or on digital, and it's currently unavailable in Disney Movie Club, even though it's on Disney+. Let's wait and see what happens, OK?

Speaking of which, whenever anyone has the Movie Club Limited Issue Blu-ray/DVD from 2019, something's weird and different about the music in the menu (even though it has the same discs from the Diamond Edition). The instrumental piece of "The Bare Necessities" is replaced by an instrumental piece from "Colonel Hathi's March (Reprise)", right?

So you have to sign up for some BMG record club type deal to get Fantasia?

Bit of a thread bump here.
For those holding off on this one, I just snagged it to find the Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 discs are different, but not for the reasons thought of here...kind of.
The films themselves are the same edits/transfers as the 2010 releases. The good news, almost all of the DVD Legacy content is now on the discs, not a Virtual Vault thing. Note, almost all:
-Due to the scandal that faced conductor Levine, most of the bonus content featuring him has been edited out (like the commentary tracks, for example) though he is fully intact in Fantasia 2000.
Here's what is missing:
Fantasia
Audio Commentary with Roy E Disney (nephew of Walt), Fantasia 2000 conductor James Levine, Disney restoration expert Scott McQueen, and animation historian John Canemaker (DVD/Blu-ray)
“The Making of Fantasia” documentary (47:25) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
"The Special Effects of Fantasia" (4:14) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
"The Walt Disney Home Museum" featurette (4:05) (Blu-ray)
Fantasia 2000
Audio Commentary with executive producer Roy E. Disney, conductor James Levine and producer Don Ernst (DVD/Blu-ray)
Introduction by Roy E. Disney (3:30) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
“The Making of Fantasia 2000” documentary (48:35) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
“Melody” animated short (10:10) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
“Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom” animated short (10:15) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
“Fantasia 2000 Showcase Program” featurette (5:25) (DVD) (Random clips from the movie)
The Interstitials
-"Creating The Interstitials" (5:05) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
-Early Concept Story Reel (1:57) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
-"Mickey Meets the Maestro" (3:03) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
Symphony No. 5
-Creating Symphony No. 5 (4:29) (DVD/Virtual Vault)
And of course, all the galleries (DVD). (Blu-ray/Virtual Vault incomplete)
* * *
Sooooo, if you don't have the DVD set from wayyy back, this gives you most of the content that was on them and the Celebrating Mickey Bluray is kind of a bonus disc of Mickey shorts.
For those that do, and completionists like me, best to hold onto the three discs in that set (which nicely fit into this one once you remove the DVDs that come with the Best of Mickey Collection).
Oh yeah, the menus are different too.

Thanks for posting this! I was always curious about this set, and whether or not it was barebones or what. I have the first Fantasia/2000 combo release, and I have that previous DVD set you mentioned. So nothing worth upgrading here, I guess unless I don’t want to hear James Levine talk anymore. I was curious or not if they planned on re-editing or what. You answered that.

I ordered those disney club fantasia and jungle book blus from a 3rd party seller at Amazon and was not happy with all the nicks on the slipcases and less than Mint Condition.
I hope Disney just releases them again for retail so everybody can get them.

Yes, I just snagged it on Ebay today when I read about the extras being included. Seller listed as LIKE NEW but I've been burned so many times on Ebay with lists as LIKE NEW or VERY GOOD and the item comes looking like it was hit by a truck. Here's hoping, though.

Well, "The Jungle Book" is already in retail stores just so you know.

Is it this?
I had no idea it came out in Feb 2022
It is not a signature edition release.
Is there a Fantasia or other titles like this?

Well, now you know.
I know it isn't.
For "Fantasia"/"Fantasia 2000", they're probably not in retail stores, but they're only available in Disney Movie Club, and they're in a 3-Movie Collection with "Celebrating Mickey" called "The Best of Mickey", right?

Seems the two flicks were "vaulted" a few years ago. You may be able to find some kicking around in a store or used shop but to get them new at the moment it's finding them packaged in the Mickey set from DMC. However, the good news, as posted above, is that these discs are actually different from the original releases whereas they include mostly all of the amazing extras from the Legacy DVD set. So, it's the better one to snag if you love bonus features.

And in recent years, I’ve toned down my love for extras, but this set has some really good stuff. One of my faves is the short Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom. They showed this in class when I was in elementary school. And it’s a fun and quite funny short on the history of music.
