You won't be disappointed JackBurton - the transfer is quite good, and brings out the striking colors wonderfully. Also, there are hours of extras included. If you're a fan of the film, you'll be extremely pleased. It is pricey, as you note, but you get your money's worth.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
Thanks, Noirfan! I placed an order and received email confirmation that my copy would be region ABC with 1080p supplements. It is a bit more than I am comfortable spending on a single disc but I doubt an eventual US release will match this set. Plus, I don't mind supporting Arrow as they seem to be producing quality output.

Why are they making it Region B? Does that mean all future releases are going to be region locked?

Looks like the Demons films will be getting Blu-ray releases after all.

Red Scorpion will also be released by Synapse, though no official announcement has been made.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
Who owns the right to Demons in the US? I'd love to see both films pop up over here, but if it's still Anchor Bay then i'm not holding my breath and might just order those.

It's possible Universal laid the smack down. I don't see future Arrow releases being region locked unless the original rights holders get their panties in a twist (i.e. Battle Royale).

I really really want a 7.1 remix on 'Demons' this is one of those horror movies where the music and sound effects work together LOUDLY!

Extras for the DVD release of Demons, which will presumably be duplicated on the Blu-ray:
So it looks like the AB commentary won't be included. Not sure about the extras on Demons 2, I didn't feel like wading through 45 pages of posts on the Cult Forums.
Four artwork panel option reversible sleeve with original poster and video artwork housed in a slipcase with additional fifth artwork panel with all-new Jeff Zornow artwork recreated in foil overlayed on matt black.
Double-sided fold-out poster
Collector’s Booklet featuring brand new writing on Demons by Calum Wadell
All new exclusive collector’s comic
SPECIAL FEATURES:
The audio recollections of Director Lamberto Bava, Special Make-Up Creations Artist Sergio Stivaletti and Journalist Loris Curci
Interview with producer Dario Argento
Interview with composer Claudio Simonetti
Longtime Argento collaborator Luigi Cozzi on the history of Italian horror

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
According to Arrow's Facebook page, Red Scorpion will include a commentary from Joseph Zito, Howard Berger and Joe Venegas. No word on participation from Jack Abramoff...

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
I found 2 pretty tedious, as it lacked the fun 80's metal soundtrack and seemed like a plodding rehash of the first film, but I'm sure I'll buy both.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
From FearNet:
...I was thrilled to hear from (Caroline) Munro herself that Captain Kronos (Vampire Hunter) is finally coming to Blu-ray in the UK....Munro remarked that she did the audio commentary for the Captain Kronos Blu-ray "about six weeks ago." "Myself; [writer-director] Brian Clemens; Shane Briant, who played Lady Durward's son; John Carson, who played Dr. Marcus; and Ian Wilson, the cinematographer – we were all there and talking as we watched the film...I suppose it'll be out in the New Year, maybe spring time or something. Arrow Films is doing it, and it's in conjunction with the new Hammer."

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread
Captain Kronos FTW. I remembered watching it on Commander USA's Groovy Movies when I was a kid and thankfully I still enjoyed it when I watched it a few months ago. Thanks to this thread I picked up Phenomena and Tenebrae. It didn't even occur to me AB held the rights to those making a US blu release iffy at best.

I assume B. Also, it looks like Munro was mistaken about Arrow being the publisher of the upcoming Kronos: Vampire Hunter disc:
