Pretty in Pink

Golden Child
Harlem Nights
Boomerang
Another 48 Hrs.
Vampire in Brooklyn
Urban Cowboy
Blue Chips
Best Defense
...and so on.

Urban Cowboy is coming out June 2.

I read that Jerry Bruckheimer oversaw the 4K remaster of Flashdance for this series

and Adrian Lyne also oversaw the 4K remaster of Fatal Attraction

So the BDs at least those 2 are taken from new 4K remasters, not just some hackjob re-package.

Re: Paramount Presents - new label launching 4/21/20

Fatal Attraction now priced at $22.99.

The flashy packaging is designed with one goal in mind - catching the eye of casual retail consumers at chains like Walmart and Target. It's not really aimed at people like us that likely already own these movies.

Then why bother remastering instead of just repacking the older discs? Why use spine numbers? They're copying other boutique labels that collectors buy into.

Yes, they are attempting to fool some people into believing these movies are part of a premium label like Criterion. Whatever sells...

Yeah, exactly. They're not putting out a remastered To Catch a Thief with fancy packaging and a spine number to lure in unsuspecting Walmart customers.

But this one gets a separate, non-Paramount Presents, UHD release.

I'd buy if they released Days of Heaven or The Conversation... and was priced at $5.

I would pay a premium if they release The Dead Zone or Atlantic City.

When will the Days of Thunder release come out? That makes sense now why a bluray won't be included on the 4k release. Also Flashdance comes out on May 19th.

Packaging looks super-flimsy. Like the old Alien Quadrilogy packaging.

Ghost and Airplane are next for this line coming out on June 30th.

These new release are stripping away previous special features, sound options, and even subtitles.

A guy I watch on YouTube unboxed the first batch of these and they have a slipcover that folds down to show the poster art for the film. There’s a standard clear Blu-ray case with artwork that’s on the outside and inside.

I hope they eventually add Young Sherlock Holmes.

They actually look surprisingly nice and classy. Looks like Paramount put some effort in at least as far as the packaging.

Yeah, they're nice. Shame some features were dropped from the previous Blu-ray releases, however.

I hear the new transfer for To Catch A Thief is underwhelming.

Wow, every one of those screencaps looks better in the 2012 Blu Ray version.

Which is why I'm keeping the original BD and hoping for a good 4K release at some point.

The DNR on these would make T2 UHD proud.

The slipcase construction looks similar to the individual 100th anniversary Universal bluray movie releases from 2012.

Nothing special here. Move along. ;)

The ones that I might be interested in are Fatal Attraction, Flashdance. But, $23 is a little pricey for me for a 30+ year old movie.

The big selling point for both of them is the new 4K transfers supervised by Adrian Lyne. Some supplemental material is missing.

Eh, I think with these reviews, better off not bothering for any. I have them on blu and digital and those will suffice...

I just saw a review of the new one. He was disappointed, and prefers this older one.
