I've been enjoying them as well. I have been finding them regularly in cities outside of Austin. I hope that they will add online reservation at some point. As it is currently, you have to physically go from box to box for availability of the title you're looking for.

My city is not on the list, but I'll still give it a look. I'd definitely be interested, -moreso than with regular BDs, since I have more options there.

While it's good to hear, and I'll probably rent on 4K, but overall if I'm renting something quick from Redbox the format doesn't always matter to me. If a title isn't available at Redbox on BR I'd just as quickly rent the DVD. Of course actually purchasing the film is a totally different story.

It's funny what our perception of what costs too much money these days. In the mid-1980s a VHS rental of a new release from the typical ma-and-pa video store was $3.00. Thirty years later $2.50 is considered a rip-off for 4K.
...and yet $6 for a coffee or buying a $73 water bottle seems perfectly reasonable.

And RedBox sends out tons of discount codes, so if you're clever, you will never pay full price for rentals. Since I don't really buy that many BD's anymore, renting from RedBox again is a better and cheaper option. I will buy BD's from them if they're $3.99 like I did with my last haul that I posted in another thread.

My redboxes are now selling 4k discs for $9.99 and under. That's a great deal if you don't care about the DVD/BD/Case/Artwork. Shit, I may start a collection even before I get the gear.

On the upper left hand corner where it says "at the box" you highlight that and it says "movies to own." Click on that and it will show you what is available on DVD/BD/4k for purchase. Then you complete the transaction. They've been selling movies since forever. It's the addition of 4k films that peaked my interest further. Why should I spend $30 for one when I can just get for $5?
EDIT - Just keep in mind that the 4k films are not available in all areas just the major metropolitan areas.
