Nope if Vudu doesn't support extras, it will NOT play them.

If extras are available ex. Apple TV or Movies Anywhere, you need to link Vudu with them.

Bottom line is, extras have nothing to do with them being Movies Anywhere. Extras do not "port" anywhere. It is up to the digital provider to host them. iTunes has several extras that are not available anywhere else.

If you are able to put FandangoNow on your TV (or some blu-ray players, or media streamer, not sure what you have), they have a lot (if not all) extras listed already.

Or might be time to invest in a set top media streamer (roku, firestick, etc.) if you don't have one.

^ got it, ok, not worth the hassle. i'll just get physical and that's it. i believe i can get FN app, but physical for this with digital is just fine. would have been nice in 3D, but beggars can't be choosers...

Checking the Vudu listing in the app, there is a spot for VUDU Extras, though none are listed at the moment. Best indicator yet that the extras will be ported to VUDU. Movies without extras don't have that section on their page and go directly to Cast and Crew listing

FWIW, Vudu is showing 15 bonus features now. My FN pre-order ported over.

i ordered the digital and cancelled physical. the Vudu version has more extras according to what's listed, including a commentary. that's awesome. never saw more on Vudu than physical disc before...

Why So Blu?

Since I used credits to get it cheaper from Amazon - the Amazon version only has about 20-25 extra minutes of special features that play right after the film ends. Thankfully, ALL of the special features that exist ported over to VUDU, including the film with commentary.

Spideverse was made for 4K, the color and the deep blacks throughout the movie looked fantastic on 4K...I should watch on BR to see what is like.

I had that same thought...It was made for UHD. So I bought the 4K disc even thought I don't have the gear to play it.

This is the type of movie that I wanted to future proof. And since there was no 3D version in the states, 4K was the next best thing for me. My kids have already watched it twice since picking it up and I'm sure it will get played again some point this weekend. This movie is just fantastic.

I did the same thing for a few movies before I bought a 4K HDTV on Black Friday...I also bought another seven 4K movies on the same day.

The right 4K does look better than BR...even my daughter said wow at the opening "Columbia Studio's Credit Statue Woman".

i think this movie was made for 3D, especially the color. anyone see in theater that way? did it even play that way?

FYI, there are reports over at blu-ray.com that although the German & Spanish 3D versions have an English track, the speech/thought bubbles and menus are in deutsch/Spanish with no way to change them.
I don't think France has been verified yet.

I can confirm the 3D version from India has English bubbles/menus. And there is confirmation over there that the Australian 3D version has English bubbles too.
