It's erratic. Prices will drop steeply but frequently won't stay that way for long. Sales sometimes revolve around buying multiple titles at once (2/$20, 2/$30, 3/$40, 3/$50). Honestly, as time goes on, I've been buying more and more titles on eBay. For Disney titles in particular, you can get a brand new release for $20 after a week: sealed, slipcover, digital code, accompany Blu-ray, etc. And frequently with no tax/shipping.

For instance, last month, I got Venom for $18 shipped, and while I used a coupon to get Ralph Breaks the Internet for $16.99, it still only would've been $19.99 if I'd paid the full asking price, while it was $30 + tax everywhere else. I have in the mail Mary Poppins Returns ($20 even) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald ($21.79 shipped) right now.

I would expect Aquaman to hit the $25 price point in the next few weeks. But, I can't see it hitting sub $20 for a few more months. They want to milk the high price point for as long as possible.

As a WB title, I would say it's a fair bet the UHD will be under $10 on Black Friday.

Yeah but not everyone wants to wait until November to buy their favorite BDs.

I can't afford $30 new releases, but if it comes down to something a little more reasonable in the next few weeks or months, then I'm open to getting it sooner.

But I have no major urgency to get it and see it again right away.
I wouldn't have bought it yesterday if it wasn't for the fact I had $20 coupon from BB.
That's the beauty of having the movie theatre subscription program.
FWIW, I prefer the video quality and the seating of my HT compared to the
local theaters.

Depends on the studio.
Disney is especially bad about discounting their new blockbusters.
WB can also be slow.

Like the 4K, this release seems to be excellent (except the cost).

My 3D copy from Target got delayed and is now showing out of stock on their site. Best Buy is also showing out of stock near me, but I was able to find a lone copy behind the regular versions in store today. Since I have all the other DC movies in 3D, I can't break the cycle now

Grabbing the Best Buy version did gain you what Best Buy states "Only @ Best Buy".. Maybe their exclusive is the combo as other sites don't include 3D, Blu Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy.

Yeah, the only thing exclusive about the BB version is the DVD disc and the slipcover.

Re: AQUAMAN: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray - 3/26/19

Bought Aquaman in 4K last night, watched about 1/2 of the movie.

LOVE the movie when it IMAX (Full Screen...it I can use that old term), felt like the movie was way more immersive at 16:9.

Colors where incredible as everyone has said.

What I really love about 4K is the Blacks, better than BR...sometimes WAY Better.

Cannot wait to watch the rest of the movie tonight.

Re: AQUAMAN: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray - 3/26/19

Watched the 3D version tonight with the family and my God, it looked absolutely AMAZING. It's a shame releases like this are few and far between now, but examples like this are still worth it. I think the movie also edges out WW for me as my favorite recent DCU movie.

I agree.
WW is good, but it isn't all that either.

Re: AQUAMAN: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray - 3/26/19

I love how BB releases ugly steelbooks for the DC movies during the first run and then makes some really nice looking ones for the second run. They did it with WW and JL and now Aquaman

Ha! Yeah, that's ten times better than the initial one.
