I'm holding off on that set, but damn, that's nice. Really hoping there's eventually a release on this side of the world that isn't as expensive, even if it means leaving out the book and some of the extra BD discs.

He was asking for a shit load for the home video rights because he was trying to recoup from sinking a bunch of money into a 3D version that nobody asked for and that went nowhere.

We have been experiencing an increasing number of legal challenges and other issues with our shipping of orders outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). Our suppliers transact with us on the basis that goods will only be sold within the EEA.
These issues have been compounded by: Covid-19 related delivery constraints and costs, an increasing number of lost parcels, local taxation changes, and customs delays. All this has led our Board to take the decision that, with immediate effect we will cease taking orders for countries outside of the EEA.
From the 1st October, we will cease to ship orders outside of the EEA. Any orders that are still outstanding will be cancelled.
We regret we have had to take this action and apologise for any inconvenience we have caused you.

So sorry to hear about the cancelations for those who ordered from Base, but it's a risky time ordering overseas, especially so far ahead. It makes retailers like Diabolik all the more important for collectors right now.

Well, that's a drag. At the same time, I think I'm okay waiting for a not-limited edition or a U.S. release. I guess I have a psychological barrier about paying well over $100 for one movie, and for all I know, ordering from Zavvi (which seems to be the only remaining option?) would just lead to another cancellation and further disappointment. Feeling pretty deflated and wishing I'd made other choices when they were available, but oh well.

I'm okay waiting. I've bought plenty of other versions before. I no longer have that need to own every version. I saw the best version when I saw it in theaters when it was first released.

That's a bummer, not because I ordered Dawn from Base (I'll take a non limited set thank you very much), but because I loved Base and have ordered quite a bit from them over the last year.

Yeah, I had the Base order, so now I'm just gonna wait it out. This is all on Second Sight and the pandemic. I'd go with Zavvi but as was mentioned I have a feeling they are over promising and will cancel orders as November nears. It's also $120 shipped.
