Comes out March 12th and the extended cut is digital only, just like The Fate and the Furious.

I liked it mostly because of the visuals, but there was way too much they tried to cram into this one. I'll pick up the 4K on the cheap.

I'm going to wait for this to drop in price before buying it for that reason. Lame to have it digital only.

In the U.S., anyway. Other markets are getting the extended version on Blu-ray (packaged with the UHD release as well), but...!
...

• There seems to be no 4K presentation of the extended cut, not even digitally
• There apparently is only one out-and-out deleted scene; the rest are extensions to existing scenes
• The additional footage has an annoying "deleted scene" graphic at the beginning of every new piece of footage. Jarringly WTF

30 bucks for the UHD disk is just too much IMO.

I'll buy this whenever they've successfully created an extended cut, without all the "Deleted Scenes" breaks, on regular blu-ray (since I don't much care about 4K) and have made the typical Theatrical and Extended Cut 2-Disc release.....AND have offered it up for a reasonable price. Until then, they can suck it. I'm in no hurry to own this.

They're not "breaks" per say, it just says "Deleted Scene" at the bottom .eft corner when the scene starts.

After seeing the extended cut, I could care less whether or not it gets released in 4K or as a disc. There wasn't anything that made it any different.
