But yes, I would always go blu ray and projector over 4K and TV, at least for the time being. But I'll also admit that it's been hard lately watching DVDs on the projector as well and I almost prefer watching those on a TV instead.

Blu-rays look fantastic. I was just being a bit facetious as there always seems to be a commonly-held belief in the tech world that anything that isn't cutting edge is not worth your time. I still think DVDs look great when they're used on the appropriate-sized screens.

It's odd that I find the DVDs look better on the projector given the size. I have a decent 40" Sony TV that supposedly up-scales quite well and I still seem to see noise in the picture which I don't see on the projector. It is a compromise as the TV has better contrast and brighter colors. Oh well, it's nice having both options.

Agreed.

DVDs from 20 years ago are getting tough to watch, in spite of my 4K TV having a great video processor and scaler.
It's rare I watch one know...unless it is some standup comedy performer I have.
