Am I the only one who hates Universal's BDs?
Why do these assholes insist on putting their own bullshit screensaver on their discs, and why can't players block the shit? If I ever rip my entire collection to HTPC, those fuckers will be first. You have no idea how pissed I get when I pause something, come back, hit play and see a bullshit Universal logo instead (which requires hitting OK instead of PLAY). Even Oppo allows it, and my Oppo has its own fucking screensaver for fuck sake.

The hatred is strong. Almost as strong as my hatred of hearing John Williams shit score for the Jurassic Park movies.

Aren't they the only one's that don't put a bunch of crap at the beginning of each disc and basically go straight to the movie or do they all put crap at the beginning?

It is annoying and most of the time you have to go back to the main menu and press play again

I hear ya.
It took me awhile to discover NOT to press the Play Button.
After all these years, I still hate this cheap form of advertising from Universal.

Just watched one tonight and I hated that it forced me to play the entire Universal intro before I could start the movie. All their HD-DVDs do that too and include a zooming-out HD-DVD logo with it, always making me cheer for the format that lost.
