My free digital copy was finally made available late last night. I haven't really had time to go through it, but it's jam packed with content. Commentary, extended version and all the other extras.

I'm debating now. Because this digital copy appears to have all the extras on the disc and I can play it through my Apple TV with all the animated menus and such. Do I really need to spend money on the 4K UHD disc? I'm heavily leaning towards not getting the disc now.

What was funny was that I went with the UHD purchase, because it was the same price as the HDX version and still contained the super duper cut and all of the extras. The HDX/disc combo was like $26 with tax included. I'm not even 4K ready, so that's a nice bit of future proofing for a lower price.

I watched the super duper cut this morning and it was great. The mid-credit sequence has been extended and they added an actual after credit sequence carried over from the mid-credits.

Wow, Vudu actually sent me the $3 credit for the Deadpool/Deadpool 2 bundle pre-order, which I got from a free code that was passed on here. Didn't expect that, so pleasant surprise.

It expires 9/6/18, so don't hang on to it too long.

I was planning on waiting for a price drop on this since I didn’t like this as much as the first, but I might be tempted by that Target exclusive.

anyone know if i buy Deadpool 2 digitally on Amazon (bc i have credits) will this port to Vudu?

and why does Amazon say Super Duper cut starts after theatrical version ends when there is a separate extra for this cut on Vudu?

DP2 is an MA title. Sounds like Amazon just starts the extended cut when the theatrical ends.

Just noticed your post. IMO I would say it's "same" to "better", definitely not worse. I really enjoyed both versions. Having seen the theatrical months before in the theater I couldn't really pick out/remember all of the additions. So, for people that are watching the Super Cut first, they will probably enjoy it more than I did or as much as someone watching theatrical the first time. At times it could be a little distracting as I tried to remember, was that in there before?

Edit to add: In the future when I rewatch, I'll most likely continue watching the extended cut. Nothing against the theatrical, just more of it.

I'm leaning towards holding off on getting this until the disc drops in price. I got the free digital HD copy as I mentioned earlier in this thread and it has the exact same content as the disc. So I don't really need it right now. And I don't want to spend $30 on it right now (tax included) I think I'm going to wait until the 4K UHD drops to $15 or less in about 3 months. I gotta show some self restraint.

Personally I went for the Target exclusive because the book looks pretty cool and unique. Should be arriving today.

Deadpool 2 just feels like one of those movies that will be clearanced out on Black Friday. It has name cache but wasn't an overwhelming success like the first Deadpool.
