A shame, i'll just grab it from Target or Best Buy instead.
I gave up on Disney titles from Amazon and just get them at Target. I do have a B&N gift card that I thought about using, but their online price is five bucks higher than Target. I could future-proof myself with the UHD version at that price!

EDIT: And I'm now the proud (?) owner of my first UHD title.

It's now up at Amazon as well if anyone is dying to get it from there.

The surprising thing there is not that they have it buyable on street date, but that they have stock. I think the last Disney title I bought from them was Doctor Strange, and that had like a four-week backlog.

Re: BLACK PANTHER: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

yeah, I ordered Coco from Amazon just after release and it was backordered for a month, and when it showed up, there was no slipcover. Just not worth it to order from Amazon.

I mostly wanted to see if Amazon would have a better price than others. I got the 4K of Thor: Ragnarok from them for slightly cheaper than it was available for in store and figured I’d do the same with this title if it was lower.

Yeah, I bought Coco and Amazon from B&M's because Amazon has been preventing preorders and with those titles they were backordered for weeks. Nice that they have stock.

4K now $25 at Amazon too.

I'm hating myself a little for spending the extra $10 on the steelbook.

Ended up getting The digibook. My first (Marvel) Target exclusive. Btw, you know how dead Best Buy’s media section is? That’s nothing compared to Target. All they have now is 1 aisle for movies. Kids movies on the left. Everything else on the right.

Re: BLACK PANTHER: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

Got the 4K UHD from Best Buy and price matched Amazon at $24.99.

Keeping the 4K UHD code. Normally I would sell them, but I collect the Disney points, and having the streaming version of these Marvel movies does come in handy when I'm away from home.

I also price marched Thor Ragnarok, which was at Amazon for $22.99. I didn't pick it up on initial release back in the Winter.

Unless something major comes out in the next few months, I'm done with movie shopping for awhile.

Some reviews are saying that the audio department on the 4K disc is mediocre and that it's been a problem on other 4K Disney discs.

gotta crank the volume a bit if its like other Disney 4k discs. My normal comfort level is about 27-29 give or take, and like Thor Ragnarock needed to be at 35 or 36 to get it where the explosions and fights are loud but the dialogue isn't a whisper

Since DVD Talk's Ultra HD Blu-ray reviews are kind of buried and don't show up in the daily recap, I figured I'd link to my review here.

Sorry for off topic, but is there a general MCU DVD thread?

Nope, but I guess that's a good idea. MCU has their shit together, it would probably be easier to update.

Re: BLACK PANTHER: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

Ok, then I’ll ask here and then if someone wants to move they can.

What’s the best way to buy the MCU movies assuming you don’t have any? Are there series boxed sets, better to buy individually, etc. Probably not interested in 4K. I built a theater current projector does 1080p w/no real plans to upgrade.

OK, I’m late to the MCU. I did see the original Iron Man and an odd movie here and there. But really got into with GOG 1&2. With all the hype over Infinity Wars, I went and saw and loved. But of course that led me to how many movies I’ve never seen. I’ve bought and rented 3-4 on digital to watch while walking on treadmill. Loved them all enough to think I’d like to just buy them (or at least start).

Join the Disney Movie Club. You can get something like 9 titles for $90. That should of make a dent.

Send me a PM if you’re interested in that but not sure what to do.

I would also recommend looking overseas. Marvel titles seem to get marked down more there than they do here, especially if you're interested in 3D as well. It would be worth watching for sales.
