The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) Uncut ?

I just read there is an uncut 88 minute version that exists but have only been able to find the original 88 minute version on all Blu Ray & DVD releases. According to IMDB, there is also a 75 minute cut. Have either of these longer versions ever been released? Thanks!

I don't believe so. The 83 minute cut is the only cut I'm familiar with, and that 83 minute cut probably covers a couple of versions that might have a frame or 2 trimmed here or there for one reason or another.

In my opinion TCSM has just about the most perfect pacing of any horror film at 83 minutes (except for maybe John Carpenter's Halloween), and I think that lengthening it in any way would take away from that pacing.

I know the blu has a few minutes of deleted scenes but they've never been able to find the audio for these scenes. so a longer cut in theory may exist

If that audio consists of Franklin talking, I’ll take the silence.

Thanks for the info. I guess just the one cut has ever been released.
