Bump for the 4K set that was announced.
Jurassic Park 4K collection for May 22nd. $80 for 4 movies, so not completely terrible.

^ I don’t have 4K but I like that steelbook. (ugly yellow lettering aside).

Neat...but these will probably get upgraded to 4k on iTunes (which I already have), so no real point for me. Price is also pretty high.

I wish they would have waited just a little longer so the new film could be included.

Based on reviews posted on blu-ray.com, it sounds like Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III have lackluster remastering. The others got good marks. Based on that, I'll be skipping these. The original was the only one I was really interested in getting, provided that it got a good new remaster. But Universal had to jack it up.

JP 1 in 4K
I did not do an A/B comparison but I know this film well. I've owned it on VHS, LD, DVD, BR and now 4K. The color palette in HDR is a little more intense and takes some getting used to. The detail was amazing. The first appearance of the dinosaur was astounding. The sun reflecting off the dinos skin had detail I've never seen. Likewise the T-rex in the rain. It was almost like you could feel the scales and texture of their leathery hides. The audio DTS-HD was superior to what I remember from the BR version.
