I'm really disappointed that this is not getting a US UHD release. Yet Canada gets one? Looks like it's also getting a 4K release in the UK.

I ordered the BD/DVD/Digital from Amazon but I'm thinking about importing the 4K from Canada. Anyone know if you can redeem the digital copy say, at Vudu? Guessing that there's no way it would redeem in 4K anyway.

It doesn't have a release date though, unlike the BD.

I think it was going to get a 4K release in US/Canada, but then that changed and Amazon.ca didn't drop their listing. I can't see this getting released in Canada and not the US.

MediaPlay News shows an ad for the release that includes 4K, so it was definitely intended originally.

Yeah, that seemed odd, but one can hope. Maybe the UK will get it, amazon.co.uk also has a listing but no release date yet. I've ordered the US BD already so maybe I'll import the UK 4K when the price comes down. At least there's no region coding to deal with.

I see now it can be pre-ordered at amazon for a May 8 release:


but it's currently $37.98. Ouch. It's only $24.96 with free shipping at walmart.com. I did submit that to amazon using the "tell us about a lower price" link. If they don't match soon I'll just order it from Walmart. I also canceled my BD order with amazon.

Has to be a typo. Amazon.ca has it for $28.87 CAD... and prices on the Canadian site are almost always higher than the US site.
