Decided to go for the 4K. I don’t have a 4K player or TV yet but with it being only a bit more than the standard Blu-ray might as well start furture proofing certain titles since they come with the Blu-ray too.

Re: THOR RAGNAROK: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray
Thanks for posting that, matty, but ...
I was all set to order this until I saw that it would only be $1.58 cheaper that what I got it for from target.com with Red Card. It looks like they actually automatically adjusted it from $29.99 to the current price of $27.99. First time I have seen Target do that, but I like it!
If there was still a Target store down the street from my office i would be all over that $1.58 saving though. But drive 10 miles to return it there, nah!

Target has now their special edition exclusive release available online and in-store.

I went to Best Buy to pickup my order for the standard 4K and they gave me the 4K Steelbook. No extra cost. I'll just take that as an apology for all the times I waited forever in their customer service and checkout lines.

I just bought the regular BD+DVD+Digital package, don't have any use for 4k or 3D, I'm not planning to expand further than I have already for quite some time, maybe never. I have too much money wrapped up in what I have now. Regular old Blu-Ray is fine with me.

I'm sure this is a stupid question but the 4k and the 3D are independent of each other, yes? You can't watch the 3d version in 4k?

Correct, you can’t watch the 3D version in 4K, only 1080p. And the 3D version of this movie isn’t available in the US, only the UK (and Asia I would guess).
