Which Office seasons are true HD?
I own the set on DVD but want to upgrade the true HD seasons but DO NOT want to buy the panned and cropped seasons in HD

Re: Which Office seasons are true HD?
I'm a little confused by your question. I'm not aware of any "panned and cropped" seasons.
To my knowledge, all nine season of The Office (U.S.) were shot with high definition video cameras, framed and presented at a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. |

^ Yup. NBC aired The Office in high-def from its very first episode. There are no panned/cropped seasons.

I’m still waiting for them to get around to releasing seasons 1-4 on blu.

Re: Which Office seasons are true HD?
Yeah. The only scenarios where I could picture that happening are (1) Universal starting their own equivalent to Warner Archive to sell BDs to collectors and/or (2) a promotional tie-in if there's ever any sort of Office reboot/relaunch/revival and/or (3) they license those seasons out to a smaller label like Mill Creek or Shout Factory.
The last Blu-ray season set Universal put out of a sitcom might've been the final season of The Office. Network sitcom season sets on BD in general are unicorns. (Is Big Bang Theory the only one still hitting the format?) |
