Awesome! I wanted this but didn’t think WB would actually put it on Blu-ray. So we should have everything related to Batman: The Animated Series soon since they previously announced the series as coming out too. Maybe Batman Beyond the complete series next?

Years ago for the first DVD release I managed to track down one of the animation crew to ask him about the aspect ratio and he replied that they had rendered all their animation at a 4x3 ratio.
I seem to recall there was some confusion because the laserdisc was matted down to 1.66 but that was probably done just to give it a theatrical experience.

Why do the streaming services only have this in SD? And the disk I’m getting from Netflix is DVD. What’s up with that?

Looks like I’ll be getting my copy a day early from Best Buy tomorrow. Looking forward to watching it again. It’s not as good as Mask of the Phantasm but I like it.

Yeah, I watched a couple weeks back (got a disc for review) and I hadn't seen it in a long time but really enjoyed it. Also liked that it has episodes from The Animated Series and Batman Beyond so you can watch "The Mr. Freeze Saga", really helps getting the back story on him. Unfortunately those episodes are in SD.

Yeah, The Mr. Freeze Saga is a simple inclusion but nice to have all the episodes related to the character on the same disc with the film. I think I’ll watch the saga as a whole. It would have been nice if the episodes were in HD especially considering that the show is supposedly coming to Blu-ray this year. Would have been cool to get some test episodes to see how they’ll look.

Yeah, weird that they didn't try to do those as HD tests.
But it's still neat for them have the episodes on there. I remember how people used to want Paramount to put Space Seed on The Wrath of Khan discs and some people would say that's silly.

Just heard about this. Nice surprise.
I have the DVD and SD on iTunes.
Wonder if they'll automatically upgrade my DC. I don't see the HD version on iTunes yet.
