Glengarry Glen Ross --> 10.11.16

Apparently this is coming out in October. Does anyone know anything about the release? transfer, extras, etc...? can't seem to find much but listing...

Disappointed it doesn't come with a set of steak knives.

Bring it to work and watch it on your work computer to win the Third Place prize!

Long overdue. So overdue that I bought the German Steelbook last year.

Unless there is a substantial transfer improvement, I am passing. The extras weren't that great on the special edition DVD. Don't know what is coming on this set yet.

...FINALLY!...I've been waiting for this one forever..

I've had the UK edition for years but still nice to finally see this coming out in the US. It would be nice if it had some new special features but somehow I doubt it.

I remember watching this as part of a Marketing/Sales course in college (15+ years ago). Don't think I've revisited it since. Probably worth a new viewing.

When I was in sales I watched this film and decided I needed a new career.

About damn time! I've always loved this movie.

I would be all over with some extras. I know some Mamet (written or directed) movies have pawltry extras usually, but hope this is exception. I would also be excited if I didn't already buy the hd digital from Vudu...

It would be nice to get some of Mamet's others on Blu, especially The Spanish Prisoner.

Yes, I love TSP. Just had to Netflix the DVD of Homicide bc my criterion set is buried in storage. Would get the Blu of that if it came out...

Hope it has some new extras. Even though the 2 disc DVD set had a lot of extras, they were weak.

Re: Glengarry Glen Ross --> 10.11.16

For those that have the bluray, are there any extras worth speaking about?

Ringmaster 10-14-16 09:03 AM

Re: Glengarry Glen Ross --> 10.11.16

They're the same as the 2 disc DVD from 15 years ago, but they're still good IMO. Too bad there wasn't anything new but at $4.25 from Target with their Cartwheel coupon, it's an easy buy.

Did this get a new transfer for the blu-ray, or is it the same ancient transfer used for the DVD?

Re: Glengarry Glen Ross --> 10.11.16

It's probably worth mentioning that this is $5 at Target

Re: Glengarry Glen Ross --> 10.11.16

I've had the UK steelbook Blu-ray for years but for $5 this might be worth checking out.
