Must Have 4K Discs?

Upgraded my HT to 4K over the weekend and have a XbOne S on its way as a player.

Any discs or content out there that's considered reference? The only movie I have on the way is ST Beyond.

I don't have a lot, but Sicario is the best one I own.

Re: Must Have 4K Discs?

I have about 30 4k discs now and unfortunately had not been able to watch all of them. However, out of what I have watched so far...Deadpool and Lucy seem to come out on top of my pile. I also was quite impressed with X-Men: Days of Future Past. The only bad one I've really seen and bad probably isn't the right word, we'll call it not great...is 3:10 to Yuma.

That's odd, because it got a really great review for the 4K video quality

There seems to be a fair amount of DNR used...it feels like it should have more grain to be frankly honest for the age and type of film. Furthermore, it feels like the film should be sharper. I dunno, others like it and its certainly far from bad...it just doesn't jump to mind like the others I've mentioned do.

The first John Wick comes to mind, especially since it can pretty easily be had for $15 or less.

I've been very happy with all the ones I've purchased so far. Logan looked great. I'm sure Guardians 2 will be on many people's lists once it's released tomorrow.

Re: Must Have 4K Discs?

John Wick 2 looked pretty good on my 4K TV.

Granted I don't have some souped up audio system, so I cannot comment on the audio.
