Same here. No dents. I thought it was odd they would seal the code for the digital copy in plastic wrap.

The one for The Jungle Book was like that too. Some kind of digital theft protection?

My Best Buy is apparently already out of steelbooks. In fact, it says none within 250 miles of me when I try in store pickup.

So much for them getting more steelbooks.

I learned a long time ago: always preorder the Marvel steelbooks.

My Civil War came today.

And it does look like most stores now have them in stock. They probably marked them all not available temporarily to updates actual numbers in stock. But I am fairly certain thru will sell out today, or in the next day or two at the latest.

For those that preordered, were you charged the original $29.99 price or the current $27.99?

27.99! I was surprised, but happy I didn't have to hassle with asking for a price adjustment. BB had screwed me in that way in the past.

The stores in my area have them available as of this post. But I wouldn't count on them lasting long. Get those store pickup orders in now!

Looks like either the stores have been raided or all of the orders for pickup sapped the stock, but I didn't see one single steelbook anywhere on the shelves.

Hey, mine adjusted as well, even though I used a RZ Certificate on the order. I was afraid that would screw things up.

Seriously? Mine had about 30 of them out - but most of them were snatched up within 15 minutes. There were still a few left, but pretty sure they'll be gone by noon.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

Just got back from Best Buy a few minutes ago...unless they have a ton in the back to restock, this one will be gone by afternoon. They did refund the $2 immediately without my having to ask. I'm a bit disappointed though, it's a rather dull, matte finish steelbook. It could have been much nicer—although it is slightly embossed. Nice touch with the UV code under the shield in the pamphlet. I lifted carefully to place it back after redemption

There were a bunch at my Best Buy but probably half of them were damaged.

Picked mine up as well. It's a great looking steelbook, inside and out. There were probably 6 or so left. They also automatically adjusted the price without me asking upon pickup, so that worked out well.

I picked up my regular 3D edition today during my lunch break. I'm hoping to have time to watch it tonight. Can't wait!

Reading these threads always makes me smile because I have zero interest in steelbooks.

I'm a little jealous of you. I don't have every Steelbook out there or anything, but this is my 7th Marvel Cinematic Universe Steelbook with 3D blu ray. I'm not stopping now.

I admit to going a little crazy for the Target exclusive DC animated movies but I never got in to to Marvel ones. If I had started collecting the Marvel steelbooks from day one I might be more enthusiastic about them.

However, this new trend of charging $8-$10 more for the Steelbook is a slap in the face of the collectors! I saw about 15 Civil War steelbooks at Best Buy today, and while they look nice, I refuse to pay that much more just for a case. I ended up buying the regular version and I'm a little bummed that it didn't even include a slipcover but I even refuse to pay an extra $3 for a slip cover (the 3D version doesn't interest me).

I do support Best Buy's decision to finally start supplying to meet demand though. Running all over town trying to track down the last copy of a Steelbook is just plain aggravating!

It didn't help in the least hiking up the prices. They still pretty much sold out, even with more stock. The collector demand still far exceeds the supply, despite the price.

Still a "Fuck you" to collectors, IMO.

To be fair, the Collectors Edition also includes a digital copy along with the 3D disc.

I picked that version up today.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

It came back into stock early this morning. I pre ordered it and selected store pickup. I come to get it about 12 hours later, and I'm told they don't have it. "Yeah we have them in stock, but they pre ordered before you." To make matters worse, while I'm in line some guy shows up to pick up his copy.

And you know, I'm all for that. But why not simply have a purchase limit of 3? That would deter them more than a price hike.

And on top of that, they should require to login to your account if you want to buy more than one. That would deter quite a bit of people I'd imagine, and block high volume purchases.
