Re: UHD release announcements

I like Tremors 2 but eeek...what we will be asked to pay to buy it in 4K might be a bit too rich for me right now.

I say this as someone who has seen I believe all of the direct to video films to date (I believe the last one brought back Michael Gross), so I do love the series (I have seen the one that is supposed to be set in I believe the icy regions of Canada or the Artic at least twice, but I believe it was filmed in South Africa, and the snow is actually white sand, lol!).

I admit that I missed watching the tv series that briefly aired, but have no itch to chase that down.

I'll go for the standard Barbarella. Don't need a poster.

Re: UHD release announcements

The Australian release didn't have Atmos (despite the movie being mixed that way), HDR, or much of anything in the way of extras. I don't regret importing, but I'll double-dip if Shout puts together a compelling package.

I'm pleasantly surprised this is happening stateside. Roku owns the movie and was very opposed to the idea of a physical release.

Any reviews online for the 4k version of Sleepy Hollow yet? I'd like to see if the disc is any good before purchasing and its supposed to be released next week.

Re: UHD release announcements

Is this actually a good movie? I never saw it back in the day, though I played the game here and there.

It's considered as one of the better video game to anime adaptation (but as always YMMV). You can see many favorable reviews online. It's also streaming on many platforms including Crunchyroll, Prime Video, and RetroCrush.

It's pretty awesome and the best representation of the characters outside of the classic arcade game.

Re: UHD release announcements

JeffTheAlpaca, that is a steelbook I hope goes on sale soon after it is released, as I will admit to wanting to pick up a copy

A bad movie that I cannot stop watching having seen it at least 3 times, in the theater and at least 2 viewings on cable/home video.

This film still had some of the best teasers of all time.

If you have an Atmos rig, Godzilla is genuinely one of the best-sounding releases in my collection.

Re: UHD release announcements

I have the regular Blu-ray of Godzilla 1998

It had its flaws but in the minority but think it was a a lot better than the 2014 movie.
