What Blu-Rays are you picking up on April 19th?

Just a few of the notable releases this upcoming week:

The Revenant
Ip Man 3
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Silicon Valley season 2
Haven the final season
The Stuff
Fifty Shades of Black
Veep season 4
Misconduct
Norm of the North (animated)

I won't be doing this thread regularly, just thought I would do it this week.

Edit: Damn, realized I forgot to put other in Poll.

Aside from The Revenant, nothing major this week, but I did order TCM 2 and IP Man 3.

Interesting, not only is there nothing on there I'm interested in* for immediate pickup, I didn't even see anything I'd want to wait for a price drop on.

(*already have all the X-Men films)

I'm debating blind buying The Revenant and The Ip Man Trilogy. Despite its critical success I've heard only average things about The Revenant and haven't really heard anything either way regarding the Ip Man movies.

Does anyone have opinions on these films to pursuade me to buying them or staying away?

The first 2 IP Man movies are awesome old school martial arts movies. Donnie Yen is great in them. If you're unaware, IP Man is based on real events. The character was Bruce Lee's teacher. Haven't seen the third, but getting it to be a completist, plus it has freaking Mike Tyson in it. I heard they took some liberties and made it a little over the top.

The action is great in it. No more over the top as anything in the first two. In fact, 2 has that tabletop fighting scene which as about as over the top as you can get. The Final Ip has more balanced action in it (and a very cool scene involving a muay-Thai fighter). I found this movie to be a very good ending to the series. Even though I have all 3 from Hong Kong, I am pondering on picking up this steelbook from Best Buy since the third movie has the extras that's on the HK set.

The Revenant is brutal. Brutal. I got through it once, but can't imagine ever wanting to revisit it.

The Revenant

Never seen it but have faith in DiCaprio since he has not made a really bad movie and I have most of his movies in my collection.

I think a new repackaged X-Men set comes out this week though it still says Coming Soon" at Best Buy

For those with a Fry's near them (and get the daily emails with the promo codes), Ip Man 3 is $9.99 with the code. It's a Well Go title, so I'm sure it'll be that price again fairly soon, or even drop to $7.99 at some point.

I grabbed "The Revenant" and couldn't resist "Sons of Anarchy: The Complete Series" via Amazon yesterday. It was simply a price which was way too good to pass up.

Arrow just released it on Tuesday in the U.S.. I'm guessing you probably have the Region B UK version.

Bummer. I was just about to petition that the HD Talk forum be renamed to ChuckleFukk Talk.
