Best Buy is going to have an exclusive steelbook. The preorder is mentioned in their upcoming ad for Sunday.

I'm assuming it doesn't come this wrinkled.

I like steelbooks, but I'm not real enamored with that art.

At least it's in line with the other steelbooks. You know, with all of the other bad guys, right down to Evil Yoda.

Call me old fashioned, but if the Target exclusive is disc based I'll go for that, the 100 BBY points isn't even worth it

I guess mark April 18th as the release date, according to leaked pictures coming out. Target will have it as part of the pre-order with a $5 giftcard. That first picture is a UK ad I guess, but i'm guessing this will be a day and date worldwide release. Or at the very least, beginning to mid April.

Looking like Target for me, unless the store exclusive content is digital download only. In that case, they can stick up their ass.

Pretty much my sentiment and plan as well. Also, no sign of 3D anywhere, so I'm guessing Disney/Lucasfilm isn't going to support 3D home release.

Yeah...I didn't really care for those either.

Sorry to say that I think it would be huge surprise if the Target exclusive wasn't online only. I will probably still go that route over the fugly Kylo steelbook.

BB usually gives you 250 BBY points on a pre-order.

So I'm guessing the April 6 so called release date isn't happening with it being one month away and still no announcement.

Target exclusive listing is up
'Collectible Packaging + Exclusive Bonus Content', bonus content looks like it will be digital.
Confirms the April 5 release date.

I'm not sure if this is worth it. Sounds like this stuff will be on the "we all know it's coming" new trilogy set or Saga set.

Details
Only at Target: Collectible packaging, plus 20 minutes of exclusive bonus content, including a never-before-seen interview with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, and a deeper look at the movie’s weaponry.

Looks like some kind of fold out packaging. Kinda cool.

I was hoping they had learned from Paramount's mistake with the Star Trek Into Darkness fiasco but the lure of retailer cash was too strong to resist.

I'll probably end up getting the Target one anyways since we get a discount with the Red card.
