Day one for me. Since we don't have HBO Go or cable, we've been getting these on release and watching an episode or two per week to try and drag it out as long as possible :)

Day 1 for me too, even though I already watched the season on HBO Now. Plenty of rewatch value in GOT. :)

Reminder to avoid spoilers in this release thread.

Yeah, I already heard one major spoiler from a co-worker. I was pretty pissed about that.

I'll wait for the usual uv/gp offer online where my other four seasons reside. LOL

GoT sets are always a day one purchase for me as well. Aside from usually have decent prices on release week, these are some of the best sets being released today. They're always top quality.

March is so far away. :(

Other than the ones given away by the pictures of the set (Dinklage and a dragon!) and descriptions of the content. ;)

The past four seasons they usually come out in February close to my birthday. Wonder why we have to wait another month.

I've been picking them up as they come out, always to hard to resist first week pricing.

But then I guess I'll rebuy them as they re-release the Dolby Atmos versions :(

Meanwhile, the first four seasons of the show are being re-released with Dolby Atmos. They're seriously going to double-dip this one rather than give it Atmos up-front?

Sure, but we know that's just a fraction of what could be discussed. Better to just state it out front and hopefully avoid bigger problems. :)

I thought they only announced the first two seasons? Steelbook verions with Dolby Atmos.

Definitely will be picking this up Day 1.

I'll probably encourage a friend of mine who has been wanting to get all the previous Seasons to jump in on that day. Usually some good deals.

HBO announced Seasons 1-4 with Atmos and SteelBooks. Only the first two have release dates so far (Nov. 3), but artwork was revealed for all four.

Seriously, who is a Blu Ray collector and GoT fan who doesn't already own these? I like Steelbook and potentially Atmos, but no way I'm re-buying S1-4 again. And those Steelbooks are ugly covers (though I like the unified spines).

Now what Sigil will we be seeing for S5 from Best Buy? Does the High Sparrow have one?

Re: Game of Thrones: The Complete Fifth Season - 3/15/16

So they are going to remix theses for Atmos setups? What was wrong with the original audio pushed through Atmos receivers?

If those are the actual covers pictured above, call me glad I have the original packaging. I would have expected much better, like the house covers by Best Buy.

I hope they don't spread out the extras to retailer exclusives like before. I would like to get everything in one package. I also like the default cover quite a bit - better than the BB house-banner covers.

Just looking on the Best Buy website. It looks like it's Bolton, Martell, and Targaryen this year.

Preordered the Bolton as I already have Martell and Targaryen.

Also looks like the design of the BB exclusive slipcovers was radically altered.

Why keep things consistent in the fifth year when you can change it for no reason instead.

I'll be damned before I buy a Flayed Man sigil slipcover.

Fortunately I've never gotten a Targaryen cover yet. Preordered that one.

For this release Amazon UK once again has an exclusive bonus disc with 3 segments:

- The Final Step (25.51)
- The Massacre at Hardhome (28.00)
- Visual Effects of Season 5 (25.36)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AY6G5IK/

Target has an exclusive with The Massacre at Hardhome (You can see it if you click the 2nd image option):

http://www.target.com/p/game-of-thro...e/-/A-50663225

Based on what happened with Season 4, I think it very likely that BB's exclusive bonus disc will be either The Final Step OR Visual Effects of Season 5, with WM getting the other.

I don't know for certain, but that seems the likeliest possibility, with the Amazon UK Exclusive being the best bet for those people most interested in Bonus Content.

Meanwhile, for the next 4 hours (from this post) Amazon UK is having a discount code (BIGTHANKS), where you get £10 off an order of £50 or more (I think WE need to order at least £62.50 for when they take VAT out and put it back in). But still, I'd rather order once from Amazon UK and get all 3 exclusives together (and not have to worry about buying the same show 3 times, from each of BB, WM and Target to get 3 different bonus discs).
