For completists, yes that's a good deal. For me, I'm waiting for $9.99 per season, then I'll cherry pick only the early seasons, which were surely the best in the series.

It says that the complete set includes a digital copy of the entire series. Is that certain? If so, then that makes the entire series a nice purchase at that price.

Where does it say that? No, it does not. Not at least with my box set that I got when it first came out.

Okay, just wondering. No digital code in the box set. I was really hoping they would have for this one.

I wonder why they wouldn't? Isn't that mostly standard procedure for releases now? It's one of their own properties, to not have it seems odd.

Fox doesn't include digital copies in Blu Rays or DVDs of their TV shows even though they do on their movies.

Yeah, I don't know if it's all that standard for TV releases. I know I've gotten it on Warner and HBO releases, and it looks like Lionsgate does it too. That said, I don't buy nearly the number of TV shows that I used to.

That's not true in all cases. The Following had UV digital copies for all 3 seasons with the Blu-Ray sets I bought. Also, the Gotham season 1 blu-ray I got had UV digital copies. Then again, Sleepy Hollow hasn't had digital copies with either season so far. Who knows what their reasoning is?

It might have more to do with contracts with digital retailers. Or possibly because they put so much money into remastering X-Files for HD that they don't want to just give away digital copies since they know a lot of people will sell or give away their codes to people who might be enticed to buy a digital copy of their own instead if they have to.

Now it's Best Buy's DOTD. Same price as Amazon yesterday, $129.99. Weird that both retailers would have it the same price back to back days.

The retailers and Fox are probably working together to clear out stock. Who knows just how well or poorly that complete set has sold so far.

I'm referring to Fox, the studio (which releases the Blu Ray), not Fox, the network (which airs the TV show). Both Gotham and The Following are Warner releases, not FOX.

Yep, Fox network is not the same as Fox retail. I knew this would trip up someone.

It looks like people who sent emails to FOX about the black level problems for season eight have started getting corrected discs. According to FED EX mine should be here Friday. And they do seem to have been corrected.

Did they e-mail you a fed ex number when it shipped or did you find it through the Fox Connect website?

I had to sign up at Fed Ex and it shows that I have a package coming from Digital Deluxe in CA. Shows that it is the season 8 blu-rays in the description. No email. They will be here tomorrow.

I got my replacements on Tuesday. I never received any e-mail confirmation or anything. They were just sitting on my porch when I got home from work.

I sent my email within the last week and was told March. No big deal - but they did challenge me after getting my original email by asking if I had actually viewed them so it seems they are definitely scrutinizing the "form email" a lot of people are sending. I had to send them a reply making it abundantly clear the discs look like shit on several systems.

Can there ever be a set like this which doesn't have problems?

What email did you send it to? Did they make you ship them back the discs first?

Weird. I received a response pretty quick to my initial email with them simply saying they would mail out in March. No further questions. I did mention in my email that I had compared the image on the Blus to the image on the itunes version. As well as the UPC number, my address and where I purchased it. What did you put in your email?

I had all that info and more - digitalbits linked to a site which helped identify the issue and they had an email template. Maybe I just got a surly or stupid rep.
