Anyone else get their BB steelbook today? I was surprised I received it early.

Received mine today. Watched the deleted scenes (nothing too interesting except the cave scene - sad that there's still footage from that missing, and no Loki cameo). Also watched the making off (lots of fluff, but funny seeing Whedon being so nice considering all the negativity from him after the release) and watched Infinity Stone featurette.

Not sure which set to get.

$17.99 2D BD at BB and WMT. No slipcover, DVD or digital copy?

I just decided to pre-order the 3D Collector's Edition from Amazon. Pretty decent price and while I'm not sure I'll use the 3D disc I figured it was worth getting for only an extra couple bucks.

Why not spend the extra $2 for the 3D+BD+DC version? If you go to Best Buy early enough, you could also probably snag a steelbook.

Re: Avengers: Age of Ultron - 10/2/15

I changed my mind and decided I would get this, I'm so weak. I was going to order on Amazon, but it says it won't arrive until October 6th. So I went to order it at Best Buy for in-store pickup but it's listed as sold out when I try to order it. I'll be near a Best Buy tomorrow so I could just stop in and they'll likely have a copy on the floor I can buy, but that's weird that I can't order it in their system.

Try tomorrow morning before the store opens.

It's funny, I woke up this morning and thought to myself, "Why am I so concerned with this movie? I didn't even like it that much!" So I think I will pass for now after all, wait for BF or a sale or something and get it cheap.

Got both Ultron and Vision steels. Some asshat behind me had 3 of each. Hope the guy at the register denied him.

I went overboard on releases for Avengers 1, but just the single disc from Amazon on this one. I have been putting all the marvel movies in custom cases anyway so didn't need any frills.

Pick up the steelbook this morning at my Best Buy. There was maybe about twenty on display, pretty sure they will be all sold out very quick. Got the one with the Vision back cover cause I think it look pretty cool.

As I understand it, there is no disc, just a code to download an extra featurette.

If it's anything like the recent Cinderella exclusive content, it may be limited to watching it at the Disney Movies Anywhere site. Unless I missed something, there didn't appear to be a way to download of the Cinderella bonus content.

What was most interesting about the whole thing (at least to me) is it means there are exclusive codes within the Target exclusive versions that give access to different content than the codes that come with every other copy of the movie. Looks like (at least for Disney movies) we have seen the end of bonus discs since there is a distinct way to give access to bonus content via these codes.

As is usually the case, no problem getting the steelbook at Best Buy in Canada at lunch time.

Word is the audio is a disappointment on this...so if you're a huge audiophile, this release isn't going to deliver.

DVD Talk was sent its copy more than a week ago, but the writer assigned it hasn't posted his review yet.

Re: Avengers: Age of Ultron - 10/2/15

I notice that the Best Buy copies have a sticker that says "45 Minutes of Exclusive Content". Does that mean Exclusive to Best Buy or Exclusive to Blu Ray? I wonder about the labling since there's another sticker that says "Best Buy Exclusive Collectible Lenticular Packaging" when of course it's in a Steelbook instead.
