Look Who's Talking
Midnight Run (U.S. Release)

Last two both had HD-DVD releases also.

For some reason they only released the r rated cut of Basic Instinct 2 on Blu-Ray :/.

It begins and ends with The Abyss and True Lies. I just don't get why these movies have been so poorly treated.

I'm still waiting on a US release for Open Range (yes, I know it's been released in other regions). It seems like we have every other freakin Kevin Costner movie here besides that one.

The extended version of Waterworld isn't on Blu-ray, either, is it?

I'd double-dip on Breach in a heartbeat. Apparently there was a Blu-ray released in another country, but I think it's discontinued. The movie IS on Netflix now, but... still... I'd buy a US/Canadian BD.

Seconded - I have the UK import. A domestic release seems like a no-brainer given the cast.

Kind of surprised that some early Sidney Poitier's films not out on Blu-ray.

I have a pet theory that Fox is going to kick these over to Criterion out of frustration. They're popular titles and could make a few bucks if treated well and I imagine Fox wants the easy money.

Any ways, my list:

STRANGE DAYS
DERSU UZALA
Sam Peckinpah titles: RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY, PAT GARRETT and BILLY THE KID, THE BALLAD of CABLE HOGUE
THE PIANO
THE PIANIST
THE CRYING GAME
Decent BR's of John Woo's films.

Are you referring to the movie or when the titles people have posted will finally get released.

You can check one movie off this list. Croupier has been announced for a Blu-ray release.

Others I am hoping to own in HD:

My Favorite Year, Peter O'Toole
The Mosquito Coast, Harrison Ford and River Phoenix
Dogfight starring River Phoenix and Lili Taylor
Raggedy Man starring Sissy Spacek and Eric Roberts
Baby Blue Marine starring Jan Michael Vincent and Glynnis O'Connor
Independence Day ...Not the sci-fi film, the 1983 film starring Kathleen Quinlan, David Keith and Dianne Wiest
Resurrection and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore starring Ellen Burstyn
Panic Room starring Jodie Foster
Gallipoli starring Mel Gibson
Amicus Films' Asylum
The Munsters and Addams Family television series
The Night Stalker/Night Strangler tele-films as well as the entire Kolchak series.
The Ghost and the Darkness starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken with Don Knotts
All of the Universal monsters sequels
And like everyone else, "The Abyss and "True Lies."

It really shouldn't be surprising that The Abysd and True Lies aren't on blu-ray considering the way they were treated on DVD.
