Is the old Apollo 13 transfer really bad or would it be worth it to buy it for $7.99? Maybe Best Buy mails the 15th anniversary edition by accident since the old one is OOP?
I like the movie and I own the dvd already but it is not the Godfather or Star Wars where I really really liked it.

It's an alright transfer from 2010. For the most part it looked good but it had some issues with it. To me, they stand out. I'd wait for the remaster during Black Friday based on how much you like/want it.

Now I want to "upgrade" from the 15th Anniversary edition Blu-ray that I haven't even watched since I bought it.. which replaced the previous Anniversary Edition DVD which I didn't watch.. which replaced the 2006 DVD collector's edition which I did watch ... that I think had an easter egg related to some way to get the DVD to play through the entire soundtrack...

And I am pretty sure I had the Laserdisc (watched) at one time. May have sold that off or may still have it in the archives... oh my...

Wonder if this will be sold anywhere with movie cash attached. Would be an awesome way to upgrade.
(Like so many of an older version of this, 2 disc DVD, in my collection I have never watched )

Oddly enough, that was the one simply titled "2 Disc Anniversary Edition" that had a sticker saying "As seen in IMAX"

I have the HD DVD and have watched it many times. I didn't upgrade to Blu after learning of the DNR problems. For how often I watch it I'll probably just stick with the HD version until it drops to $5 on a Black Friday sale

Watched this last night.
It looks great.
I haven't compared it to the HD-DVD yet. Maybe this weekend.
