Mostly you enjoy it in the knowledge that no film will ever be released in 70mm ever again. The cels that come with the disc don't require a projector or anything, you just hold them up to the light and you can see it fine. I have a 70mm Lawrence of Arabia cel and a 35mm Spider-Man that came with other boxed sets I've bought over the years.

Don't forget the classic collectable VHS of The Phantom Menace that came with a 35mm cell.

I still have an unopened copy....I wonder if it's worth anything these days.

How hard is the Neopack version to find at Walmart? If I went to a store tomorrow, would there likely be any left?

By now, I'd say pretty tough. They only got about 5 to 10 copies per store. But you never know.

Re: Interstellar - March 31

Probably the people at Ebay horded all the Neo Packs and selling them for $50 but nobody is buying. That will teach them a lesson.

Best, Maxflier currently has the worst with the back of Hathaway's head.

Guess I lucked out. Went this morning, and my local store still had two copies left.

Re: Interstellar - March 31

I may have spoken too soon about being lucky. I couldn't tell this through the shrinkwrap, but it looks like the NEO Pack case is scratched to hell.

Also, does the printing on everyone's disc faces look this bad? I'd almost think this was a bootleg.

My film cell is OK. Better than Shannon's, at least. But it's very dark. Need to hold it up to a high-watt bulb to tell what I'm looking at.

My disc looks the same. My case had some scuffs but not quite as bad as those.

I like the Neo-cases, but they do scratch very easily, even through their shrink-wrap.

So pitiful it's almost worth it for the sad story.
I want to see this cell. Could you give us a pic?

It is nice cuz it's the worm hole. A pretty looking thing. Just...I guess...not what I wanted. But I like it.

Re: Interstellar - March 31

Aside from the scratches, the NEO Pack case is nice. But I don't know what to do with the oversized cardboard backer. When I buy SteelBooks, I usually save these things for the UPC code and contents list, but this one is too big and awkward to store on the shelf.

Re: Interstellar - March 31

I tossed the backing of mine and just put the book on the shelf the right next to the blu-ray.

I ditched the cardboard backer and stuck my cell inside the book. I don't know why Wal-Mart felt the need to make the packaging twice as wide. Too bad they couldn't have had a slip case for everything.

Re: Interstellar - March 31

I'm guessing they packaged it like that so it would look like a bigger package and more impressive on their stands and sell better. Which is weird, since it was so limited.

I usually do the same thing for those exact reasons. Whether it be steelbooks, digibooks or the larger collector sets(ex. Wiz of Oz, Gone with the Wind). But this one is just too long and the cardboard is too thick to fold and stick inside the pack or attach to the back. So this time I(reluctantly) tossed it.
