Interstellar - March 31

Mostly you enjoy it in the knowledge that no film will ever be released in 70mm ever again. The cels that come with the disc don't require a projector or anything, you just hold them up to the light and you can see it fine. I have a 70mm Lawrence of Arabia cel and a 35mm Spider-Man that came with other boxed sets I've bought over the years.

How hard is the Neopack version to find at Walmart? If I went to a store tomorrow, would there likely be any left?

Probably the people at Ebay horded all the Neo Packs and selling them for $50 but nobody is buying. That will teach them a lesson.

I may have spoken too soon about being lucky. I couldn't tell this through the shrinkwrap, but it looks like the NEO Pack case is scratched to hell.
Also, does the printing on everyone's disc faces look this bad? I'd almost think this was a bootleg.
My film cell is OK. Better than Shannon's, at least. But it's very dark. Need to hold it up to a high-watt bulb to tell what I'm looking at.

Re: Interstellar - March 31
Got the NeoPack from Wal-Mart, where they had 8 copies at 4pm, and loads of the lesser versions. Ended up with the worst 70mm cell possible... a shot of the drone in the sky, and the drone is nothing but a tiny speck, barely recognizable. I thought it was a blank cell at first. So pitiful it's almost worth it for the sad story.
Yeah. It is nice to have that too.

Aside from the scratches, the NEO Pack case is nice. But I don't know what to do with the oversized cardboard backer. When I buy SteelBooks, I usually save these things for the UPC code and contents list, but this one is too big and awkward to store on the shelf.

I ditched the cardboard backer and stuck my cell inside the book. I don't know why Wal-Mart felt the need to make the packaging twice as wide. Too bad they couldn't have had a slip case for everything.

I'm guessing they packaged it like that so it would look like a bigger package and more impressive on their stands and sell better. Which is weird, since it was so limited.

I usually do the same thing for those exact reasons. Whether it be steelbooks, digibooks or the larger collector sets(ex. Wiz of Oz, Gone with the Wind). But this one is just too long and the cardboard is too thick to fold and stick inside the pack or attach to the back. So this time I(reluctantly) tossed it.
