Liotta has been much more involved with independent movies and not-mainstream releases I think. On purpose.

Yes. I. Am. Kidding.
- inserts silly winky face -
I do find it funny it took Warners this long to get this one right. Testament to how shitty their support is for blu.

Maybe Dolby can come out with a codec specifically for gangster movies which brings out the gunfire sounds.
Dolby Mafios.

Tribeca 2015: Jon Stewart to preside over 'Goodfellas' reunion
If Jon Stewart is looking for something to do after he leaves his Comedy Central show, maybe he can learn how to be a gangster. To be a gangster, after all, is to own the world.
Stewart will get his hands dirty with “Goodfellas,” interviewing filmmakers and cast on stage to mark the film's 25th anniversary on the closing night of the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25, the fest said Wednesday.
Though organizers didn’t identify the personalities who will be part of the conversation, it’s likely that director Martin Scorsese, star Robert De Niro (also a Tribeca co-founder) and others from a group that includes Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco will join Stewart on stage for the reunion.
The movie will also be shown, in a new remastered format — “from a 4K scan of the original camera negative, supervised by Scorsese,” per a Scorsese-ish comment in the festival's news release.
If you feel like your younger years are coming back seeking revenge, you’re not crazy (or losing your mind to middle age). Cinematic anniversaries are in the air; “The Breakfast Club” is about to get a 30th anniversary re-release, and other festivals have been indulging in the nostalgia with reunions of "The Princess Bride." If you've set your DVR for the Diane Sawyer-hosted "Sound of Music" reunion Wednesday night, you know what we're talking about.
“Goodfellas” is joining the trend in other ways too. In May, Warner Bros. will release a "Goodfellas" anniversary edition, available on Blu-ray and Digital HD, and include on it a “documentary” about the making of the film that features interviews with the cast. It's all kind of funny. You know, not like a clown funny. Just, you know, funny.

Goodfellas, even when I saw it on the 32 inch in my room, has murky colors, compression issues, it's soft as hell, etc. Mediocre audio too from what others say. And...I couldn't even make it to the title card. RIDDLED w/ issues in that image. Supposedly it was good for when it came out but I don't see how. Worst BD buy ever for me.

Why? Have you ever seen him interviewed? He'd add nothing. Sure, he's a great actor, but he's one of the most boring interviews ever, and completely uninteresting - pretty much the polar opposite of his character in Goodfellas.

They should delay the release so they can include the Jon Stewart moderated cast reunion at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival as a bonus feature.

By now, the discs are pressed and the packaging's ready to go - no way they'd take that monetary hit just to add something they might have to pay extra for.

No need to delay. BD-Live makes it perfectly possible to release the disc now and make additional bonus features available digitally later for those who own the disc. But, no studio takes BD-Live seriously or sees it as anything but an additional marketing tool, so...whatever.

That would make the perfect retailer exclusive bonus disc, but sadly we rarely (if ever) see exclusives tied to catalog releases anymore.
