I'll try for one but no worries if I don't get it.

Same. I have the original, so I'm not overly worried about this one.

Does anyone have a link to the site where you can place a order?

I thought this would be a mass release available at Amazon and all the other big retail outlets.

No pre-order link up yet. When it does, it'll be on the Screen Archives Entertainment website. It won't be available anywhere else since there's only 5k available.

I'll try to snag a copy. I only own this film on VHS (as well as the sequel).

I might go for this. Sounds like a pretty decent SE.

Never ordered from this place before. Should I create an account in advance of FN going on sale, or can I just enter payment info when I place the order without an account?

Absolutely create an acct ahead of time. This will probably take a few hours to sell out, but best to be safe.

Pre-order for this goes live on 12/30 @ 1pm Pacific.

This will take days to sell out, not hours. I don't think anybody has to worry about missing out as long as they are aware it's coming out.

Agreed...also, 5000 copies instead of the regular 3000 ensures it should last a bit longer.

It will take a few days if Screen Archives lowers the max to one copy, once there are only 1500 copies left. I am pretty sure it would sell out within 48 hours with no per-order limits.

My guess is a week.

I wish we'd see the sequel on Blu-ray too. Maybe Twilight Time or Scream Factory will license it and release it.

Lionsgate has distribution rights for the sequel. They don't generally farm out their releases to third parties.

So what is the final expected cost to be, including shipping, for one of these? Might make this my first (and possibly only) Twilight Time purchase since it seem to have exclusive extras created for this release.

$34.30

$29.95 + $4.35 shipping

Is there a way to get free shipping?

Re: Fright Night 30th Anniversary Edition (01/20/15)- Yep, Twilight Time

$35 is definitely steep. That's one of the reasons I don't like Twilight Time is because they seem overpriced, but in this case I've wanted this film on Blu-ray so I'm in.

Seem? Way overpriced. But sadly with the way the rights game works, we only have two choices. Skip it or give in.

At least this time, unlike so many other titles only they have, they at least added some new features. More like Shout/Scream, but without the option for reasonable prices.
