I really want the pre order the Batman Complete Television Series but I think I am going to have to hold off for $125 or so.

What is the best price now?

Well it is a limited edition, so if it sells out, you may be waiting a long time.

Waiting for a set that only has the BD discs. And then only when if it starts hitting BF like sale prices.

The BD set also had DVD included?

So once the first batch sells out due to the LE, it will be awhile before the second shipments are out??

Same. I don't need the fancy packaging or extra crap I'll only leaf through once and never bother with again.

This would be fun to watch over and over again but I really only want to own the Bruce Lee episodes so I'm waiting till the eventual price drop.

I still say that all things considered in how much of a hassle it was to put this show out at all to begin with the price is more than fair. Considering that its the entire series and under $200 I'm honestly way more than satisfied. My only gripe is that it sounds like the set is a bit lacking in the extra features department but as long as the episodes are presented in good quality I'm happy with the set we're getting.

Same as anything, $15 per season is my max.

Good luck with that. Maybe years down the road used.

Don't buy the limited edition marketing spiel, that is a load. All indicators point to this set having been designed for easy reconfiguration into individual season releases, after they sell through the big sets.

If you are willing to wait two years after release, it will be significantly cheaper.

Trevor has like 10 years of backlog. Hell will freeze over before he buys this set.

For a second there I thought this thread was about Batman The Animated Series on Blu-ray. Got a little excited, and then disappointed.

True, but getting it now, I can look forward to other things in 2 years time. Canceling the Halloween set and moving that money over to this set is what I'm doing.

I can't believe how many are waiting for it to get cheap. I don't care the price, this was a very long long wait to get released on dvd, and it took so long we are getting it in blu. This is worth the money to me.

I'll even be getting some cash back from all of the rebates that I stacked up on it.

Although I watched it as a kid, I really have no desire to own this set. It would be fun to check out a couple episodes though. I can remember a few of them. I remember the pilot to Green Hornet very well. Also remember the Batgirl episodes.

Agreed. I find it odd that the series spent a bunch of time as the most requested title to be released on TVShowsonDVD and not to mention fans clamoring for it other places both online and offline but now its finally hitting and a bunch of people either seem indifferent or want it but only if its dirt cheap.e

Dirt Cheap? No. Just not at the price they are asking for now. Especially when it includes junk many don't want. I suspect those saying no for now would buy it if it was a little cheaper and didn't include anything but the discs.

They aren't throwing a bunch of crap in the set just to pad the price. There's a replica of the Batmobile which probably doesn't cost much (I'm sure its just a HotbWheels or something similar). As for the price like I've mentioned after all the hurdles and time it took to get the series released at all I really don't think the price is bad. I honestly expected it to be more. Of course when it first releases it'll cost more than later down the line, but for it to be under $200 I think is a decent price on it.

Yes, crap. I suspect I'm not alone in having no interest in the tiny Hot Wheels like car and the other valueless stuff they have added to the box.

You're not but the fact is that I'm not waiting two years for the set to drop in price.

I suspect it will take less than a year to drop in price. Next BF at the latest. And if they're smart, they'll release disc only sets long before that.

If you don't want the car fine but that's the only thing added to the set. Like I said I doubt that's adding too much cost to the set.

Scrapbook? Trading cards? And given the way the promotion material reads, I believe they are expecting people to think more of the extras than you think.

But bottom line - many are waiting for disc only sets and a more reasonable price.
