^ Not. I own Ashes & Diamonds and De Palma's Obsession and they're region free.

Their earlier releases are mostly region-free. It was only when the American rights' holders started cracking down since Arrow's BDs were proving popular.

Dead Alive. It's amazing that every release for that has been barebones.
Oh, and Meet the Feebles. I don't think that ever had an official US release.

Good list. But I say that because it is heavily weighted with pre 1980 fare, which is where my main interest is- but not Shout's- so I doubt many of them will ever make the line up.

yup. Best tweak I made to my HT in the last several years was investing in a decent region modded player.
In fact, being region free I don't have to wait long to see Day The Earth Caught Fire or Island of Dr Moreau. I already have the US version of Black Sabbath and The Car sitting on the shelf and could order Premature Burial and The Sentinel anytime. Lots of great Universal titles are coming out of Germany and the Hammers are coming steadily from there and the UK.
Shout/Scream has been a bit of a let down for my tastes this year, but other regions have been picking up the slack more than enough to keep me occupied.

Re: Shout! & Scream Factory Wish List

We need a Blu releases of COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT and JOURNEY TO THE FAR SIDE OF THE SUN... They would *greatly* benefit in resolution since the DVDs were released in crappy P&S and nonanamorphic versions.

I'll also add:

THE LONG WEEKEND
WAVELENGTH (1983)
LADYBUG, LADYBUG (1962)

Re: Shout! & Scream Factory Wish List

It would be awesome if they could release the director's cut of Eaters of the Dead/The 13th Warrior.

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Xhi6zor1wSk?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Especially if they could include the alternate ending McTiernan shot at the same time as Crichton shot the theatrical cut ending (meaning three endings were shot for the movie).

Re: Shout! & Scream Factory Wish List

I distinctly remember TV spots for that movie, as well as seeing the VHS box at Blockbuster, and never once did I get a horror vibe from it.

Shout doesn't just release horror flicks.

Re: Shout! & Scream Factory Wish List

I wish they'd break the set and offer the original Walking Tall by itself.

Since they already have a relationship with Universal, King Kong '76. I have no interest in them, but wonder what will happen, if anything, with Airport and Jaws sequels.
