Gummo is wretched, and I normally like Harmony Korine.

I'd list Gummo as one of the 10 best films of the 90's .

Criterion should release triple/3 in 1 packs so we can save some moolah.

.. but Warner Bros. holds this in their grimy hands like a noose. The BFI had to jump through hoops just to release the film in the UK on DVD.

Re: Criterion Wish List

A Man for All Seasons - still no BD, and since it's a Sony title I think Criterion would be a possibility.

Me too. My most wanted Criterion Bd upgrade, followed by And God Created Woman, Friends Of Eddie Coyle and Pandora's Box.
Both CoS and AGCW are much older discs and would benefit greatly from new 2K masters and a 1080p uptick.

Movies Desperately Needing Criterion Treatment

As far as I can tell, the last "Criterion Wish List" thread ended back in Sept. 2014. It included lots of movies that are out in either acceptable DVD form but could stand an update/remaster or the bonus feature treatment.

Rather than bump that thread, what movies are in dire need of rescuing (either have horrible transfers...including public domain travesties, notorious cuts, and/or are only available in other regions)?

TWO WOMEN
MATEWAN
ONE-EYED JACKS
ABEL GANCE'S NAPOLEON
CAMILLE CLAUDEL

In other words, movies that don't just need the deluxe treatment but need ANY decent treatment...and are Criterion-worthy.
