Unfortunately, Netflix doesn't care about physical media anymore; it's a crutch to them, and it costs more to them than streaming. So, they're letting it languish and rot away. Netflix has lost track of its roots (ie, why they got in the business, and were so successful in the first place), and only cares about its bottom line now. Sad, another one lost to the wolves.

Fuck them. Also, if you have a disc based subscription in the US, you can't stream in regions other regions. So you're "penalized" for being a subscriber.

What do you mean by "regions"? The only restrictions that I've heard about are location based on country. Country restrictions are license related.

But if you have a streaming account with disc based services attached, then you cannot access such content.

You mean like a window delay for movies? I guess that's possible, though it's been a while since release date. I don't rent enough TV from then to notice release patterns.
Or maybe they just don't want the expense of purchasing that many discs. They probably couldn't have just one season since people would complain about the others. So instead they just skip it altogether.

But it starts with the studio.

Not that I really know how these backend deals happen, of course.

It sounds like the replacement discs are shipping, so my fingers are crossed that I receive them soon.

My replacement discs arrived today as well. (Received an email a few days earlier they shipped.)

So if you wanna see detailed breakdowns with photo illustration on why the envelopes used by WHV offer inadequate protection (in spite of the fact that nobody has reported damaged discs!) AND see several people saying they had a hard time removing the discs from their paper envelopes then the blu-ray.com forums are for you.

Got mine yesterday. They don't appear to be damaged, but yes, what a PITA that packaging was. I don't even recall what content was messed up.

I'm glad to have the set but sort of wish I had waited on a price drop as I didn't really expect it to go on sale so soon after my initial purchase. At least I made $35 back from selling the UltraViolet code which I'd never have used anyways. Still haven't received my replacement discs but I sent my request not too long ago so it may take a while to process my request.

Re: Batman 60s TV Series Coming November 2014 in Blu-ray!
My "replacement" discs arrived tonight. Since you just needed the UPC, rather than proof of purchase, I put in for the replacement discs to get some episodes to hold me over until a significant price drop on the set.
WB mailed me Discs 1 and 2 (so, the first 24 episodes of the series) on BD. The letter that accompanied the discs said that they were sending Discs 1 and 5 from the BD set.
Just a heads up that people may be getting the wrong discs. Or, it was a typo in the letter and everyone is meant to get BD Discs 1 and 2.
DISREGARD: Just realized that the disc that says, "Disc 2" is actually Season 2, Disc 2, which I believe would actually make it the 5th Disc.
It threw me off when I saw Disc 1 - Season 1, Eps 1-12 and then Disc 2 - Season 2, Eps 13-24. I defaulted into thinking it was a continuation.
