I don't know about that. I've been a Prime member for quite some time and its always seemed about the same to me. The only time orders take longer is if I order on Friday and it doesn't process over the weekend right away. I decided to cancel this for now. I still want it but not sure if its worth the limited edition set. I might just go with the single disc director's cut at some point.

Got mine in a padded envelope. It did help that the box the set comes in is pretty thick and sturdy.

Why So Blu?

Mine had another item in it, so it was a large box with the plastic "pillows" or whatever the hell those things are called. The Blu-ray box was wrapped in shrink-wrap, too.

Looks like mine is shipping from Ontario, CA via UPS and won't arrive until next week. I hope the Ontario warehouse uses boxes, because that gives UPS a full week to fuck it up. I don't think I've ever received anything from there. Most of orders seem to come from Kentucky.

If this arrives in anything other pristine condition, it's going back. It is fucking ridiculous for Amazon to ship expensive limited edition items in goddamned bubble mailers.

I had preordered the regular edition of this sometime back, but Shout accidentally shipped me the collectors edition about three weeks ago. I got an email from them about a week later saying they'd realized their mistake and that they'd be sending me a prepaid box to exchange it, along with giving me a $10 refund on the original version when they did the exchange. It's been two weeks and still no prepaid box. I emailed them Monday morning to let them know it hadn't come, but no response yet. I'm starting to think I may have lucked into getting the collector's edition for $20.

Does anyone think the limited edition will see any sort of price drop in the near future? I've been on the fence about ordering it, but the price point at the moment is a bit out of my comfort zone.

Well Amazon did offer it for $55.98. The $70 range is too steep for me, so when it was offered for $55, I jumped on it. So they may offer it in that range again. But I'm not sure if it'll sell out before.

Very disappointed in the packaging of this very expensive Limited Edition. Two regular keepcases in a basic cardboard box with ugly art, that's it? For the price, you'd think they could at least gussy it up with something that looks a little fancier.

I actually think the packaging is very good, nigh great. Few BD distributors other than anime companies have used the double-thick keepbox case used here. Each case was serially numbered, a nice bonus. The art is always a matter of taste.

I finally got my shipping notice last night and it shipped from San Bernardino. It arrived today in those crappy bubble envelopes but since it didn't travel far it arrived in perfect condition.

There are already rumors going around that smaller retailers may not be able to fill their outstanding orders for this limited edition set. Shout Factory mailing out thousands? of L.E. sets to people that ordered the regular edition has greatly messed up the allotment. Supposedly Warner has denied them going back to print more LE sets.

This is one Blu-ray I would not take chances on if you really want one. I would only order from a place that has it in stock.

My copy from Amazon came in a bubble mailer as well, and all the way from Kentucky. It has a few dings, but nothing major. I've seen other film sets look worse on store shelves.
