No, Shailene Woodley as MaryJane was deemed too ugly to include in home video releases.

i see blu ray compression gotten better where a near 2.5 hour superhero action movie and about 2 hours of 1080p extras can all fit on one disc without sacrificing picture quality.

As the first Amazing movie has spreads the extras over 2 discs

These two Spider-Man movies suck because they're simply poorly-executed, whether because of studio interference or just having godawful writers to start with.
Who's looking forward to the Sinister Six movie? Sounds to me like desperation on the part of Sony.

Walmart will have the regular 2D set for $18.96. YMMV

It's not cardboard. It's heavier than a steelbook. More info here:

From Target's site:
Only at Target! Exclusive bonus disc includes “Something Sinister This Way Comes”. This piece is a look through the pages of Marvel history at the formation and dastardly deeds of Spider-Man’s most fearsome foes, all unified against him in an unholy team-up known as THE SINISTER SIX. Several infamous Spidey rogues have counted themselves as members of The Sinister Six throughout the team’s checkered history and possible future, including THE RHINO, ELECTRO, THE GOBLIN, THE LIZARD, DOCTOR OCTOPUS and THE VULTURE. Featuring interviews with the filmmakers and Marvel luminaries.

So not only is it "bonus content" but it's also a bonus disc.

Which is too bad, since she's gotten so little exposure lately.

The Target bonus disc is a DVD with a single 20:33 feature. Any word on what the BB comic is yet?

I picked up the 3D Magno version today, I'll try to check tonight, but just a heads up that I know next to nothing about comics

The comic included with the Best Buy version is just a comic adaptation of the movie. It is really pointless to own.

I'm kind of glad to hear that, since I'm a sucker for comics set in movie universes, but don't care so much when it's just an adaptation.

I posted my thoughts in the other thread (seems like one of the designers registered here to explain more about it). But I would recommend skipping it and getting one of the regular editions.

Is this bonus feature a Sinister Six documentary where they show the silver age comic covers and go through the history of it ?

I sometimes enjoy these more than the movie.

They show the history of The Sinister Six in comics, including the silver age. I enjoy the comic documentaries a lot and this one wasn't bad, but I didn't find it amazing. It's short, some of the interview footage is from stuff already on the Blu-Ray, and you get a lot of footage from the Raimi trilogy because those are the only movies some of the villains have been in. I don't regret buying the Target version, but I'd only get it if you want to own the movie as soon as possible.

Figuring that the Sinister Six movie BD will likely have a much better doc on the history I skipped this Target exclusive and will pick up the standard release around or after BF. Waited and got the 3D release of the first movie for $5.

I think this will be a Black Friday pickup for me.
-Thought Gwen Stacey was the best part of the movie.

I watched it on BD the other night and I saw it in theaters. Liked it a little more this time even though it's still a bit of a bloated mess of a movie. But it's far more entertaining than the first one and the movie looks great. Probably the most colorful of any Spidey film.
