Confirmed: http://www.fangoria.com/new/hallowee...hit-september/

Do we know if the Halloween / Halloween 2 TV cuts and the Halloween 6 producer cut will be in high-def?

HALLOWEEN: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION, which will not only boast every film to bear the HALLOWEEN name, including Rob Zombie’s pictures, but the first official release of the famed “Producer’s Cut” of HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS.

Coming September 23rd

For some odd reason, they are including the original blu-ray release of the first film as well as the 35th anniversary disc.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

If I understand this correctly, the 10-disc set has all the theatrical versions of the films plus some extras. The deluxe version has 5 more discs with the two tv cuts, the producer cut of 6, plus the unrated versions of the Zombie films and more extras. So it sounds like the set won't use the current Scream Factory disc for Halloween II.

Guess I'm going to whore myself out for the 15 disc set.

Pre-orded the deluxe set. I only own the 35th disc of the Halloween. Besides the Rob Zombie films, which I really enjoy, most of the stuff on here will be new to me. Can't wait.

I might put in an order for the Deluxe Edition. The set sounds too cool to pass up.

I found it odd at first as well, but at the same time, I've seen constant back and forth on other sites concerning the color timing of the 35th Anniversary Edition. Not to mention the 2007 release did have extras not carried over on the new release. I'm sure they view it as a win-win, since the majority of the extras will be ported over, people can choose to watch the version with the preferred color-timing to watch, and they can use existing stock over authoring brand new discs...

SF's Halloween II release was two discs, the second disc being a DVD with the TV cut on it. If they are including the TV cut in HD in the set, I could see them using the existing Blu-Ray from the release for the theatrical release, and author a new Blu-Ray for the TV cut...

It's not an odd reason, as the image is significantly different on the two discs - some people like the older version, some prefer the newer one.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

I have the original Halloween blu ray, Shout's H2 & H3, H4 (DVD), and H: 25 years of terror. 5, 7, & 8 are not my cup of tea. I have a soft spot for 6 and would rather have a stand alone release with the theatrical and producer's cut. The Zombie films I can live without so I don't think this set will be for me unless it goes dirt cheap and I can wait for that.

I wonder how long it'll take for the 500 copies of the Deluxe Edition to sell out. Kind of sucks it's such a small number and that's the only way to get the tv cuts of Halloween and Halloween II plus the Producers Cut of The Curse of Michael Myers. I'm going to order mine later tonight.

Wait, what?! The deluxe edition is limited to only 500 copies?

Only if you want the lithograph.

There is no "set" number to the deluxe/limited edition.

I prebooked from Shout Factory today...it's about $16-17 more than Amazon, but I'm hoping to get the lithograph. They really don't tell you how many are still available, so I'm hoping the 500 listing disappears once the prebook number reaches that - I don't want to find out later "Well, you weren't one of the first 500."

Anyone know if Shout Factory adds sales tax when they bill you? If not, the difference between and Amazon and Shout prebook is even less for me, as Amazon would tack on about $8 in sales tax.

Was your credit card charged in advance when you pre-ordered?

Ah I misread that then. I thought that was just for the Deluxe Edition in general.

I paid via Pay Pal, and yes, my card has been charged (through my Pay Pal account). They didn't charge me sales tax. Shipping is also free.

Also, the 35th anniversary cut will actually feature the mono track this time around.

Seems like the RZ films will also have both cuts included.
