Doctor Who Tennant worth the Hi-Def upgrade?
Looking to get the Doctor who Complete Specials (End of Time 1-2, Planet of the Dead, Waters of Mars)
I have read conflicting reviews that the Blu-Ray set is not that big an upgrade. Can anyone confirm before I buy the DVD or BD set. I have already decided to grab the series 1-4 on DVD due to some reviews. |

Yes, the specials are an upgrade; they were shot in HD (1080i).

Thanks! I'll stick with the DVD's for 1-4 since they were SD and grab the BD set for the specials |

If you can do PAL content, I'd go with the UK DVDs for 1-4. For one, they are in their native PAL resolution instead of converted NTSC (and PAL is higher resolution), and also it's about $55 shipped from Amazon UK for all four.

Nitpicking, but "The Next Doctor" is an upconvert; the other three are natively high-def, though.
