At this point, the plan is to have Sleeping Beauty re-released and added to the Diamond Edition line in October 2014, followed by 101 Dalmatians in Spring 2015, and then Aladdin in Fall 2015. |

I really hate how their reviews are title-based. So unefficient.

Actually I'm watching it right now on Disney channel, and it's not even that big a part. She's only around Tarzan and even then it's not all that often. It's not like she has her own through story and solo scenes. |

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
I'm still hoping Aladdin is converted to 3D and has a theatrical release.
|
Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
^Yeah, they're not doing those anymore.
|
Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
^ a new DCP though of 'Aladdin' has been created for theaters interested in showing it, complete with remixed 7.1 sound but not in 3D.

For what occasion? Is the anniversary coming up or something? I shouldn't complain; the 3-D has kept me away from most of the rereleases, so if this one isn't, I'll likely cue up to see it.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Reviews for Tarzan and Hercules are up. Amazon has both for $17.99 each (same price Best Buy will have them for). Thought it was weird Tarzan only has DTS-HD Master Audio 5.0 yet Hercules has DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
I have no idea why Disney would ever do this, but the 5.0 sound for Tarzan does all the back to the original DVD release. Still sounds great, but I can imagine a real 5.1 track would be even better.

Is the 5.0 correct in Tarzan? I have the Blu-ray in front of me and it states 5.1 on the back cover. I won't be home this week to check in my system whether that's right or not. I was wondering if a forum member have watched this movie and verified it.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Thanks. I was hoping that the box cover was correct...

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
You're welcome. For what it's worth, each review has stated the new lossless 5.0 sound is quite impressive. And the 5.0 track that was on the DVD was also quite impressive. Just no LFE channel.

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
Beauty and the Beast going for $87 at Amazon. Looks like it is the only Disney movie that has this high price. Why is that?
|
Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2014 Blu-ray releases
It's back in the vault. Disney's OOP plan to keep prices high until they release the next edition, probably in 2016 for the 25th anniversary.
