Re: Twin Peaks - Series & Fire Walk With Me
Just opened mine up. Oh man, is this ever a gorgeous set. I've been hearing some horror stories of damaged packaging, but mine was pristine. Now to dig in to all this glorious stuff.

Can Amazon store credit be used in their international stores? If not I'll just get the US set at the $115 price.

The player isn't the issue. I have store credit with Amazon (USA), but I can't use it on Amazon.uk or Amazon.de or any of the other international sites. That's the stupid part.

I opened mine. The FWWM paper sleeve (the one with the details of the two discs) is damaged. Anyone else? I'm kind of bummed. Thinking I should have amazon.CA swap that shit.

I've seen some reports on twitter mention that certain copies of Walk Fire With Me may have sync issues on the deleted scenes https://twitter.com/search?q=twin%20...0sync&src=typd

Re: Twin Peaks - Series & Fire Walk With Me
Just finished watching the Twin Peaks Documentary on disc 8 and it's quite comprehensive about the series (almost 2 hours). I'm so pumped to finish off the rest of the extras and finally watch FWWM.

Can you imagine trying to get this aired on network TV today with all the smoking, especially by teenage characters?

Thankfully, I got a completely undamaged set - and am being careful to keep it that way. I like the design, but it's certainly not made for the long haul.
Watched the pilot last night (TV version) and am quite happy with both the video and the audio. Could pick up details in the background I never saw before, including

Yeah I watched about half of the pilot last night. The scene where Leland and Sarah are on the phone and find out about Laura gave me chills! It's actually emotionally darker than I remembered it. PQ/AQ are fantastic as well. I noticed a bit of a red push for sure, but I also haven't calibrated my projector in ages and it is a model that is also known to push red a bit more by default. Not complaining, though. This thing is gorgeous.

Watched through the deleted scenes last night. Had no sync issues. I was using a PS3 for playback.
Boy, if that ending had been in the film I probably would have been even more furious with FWWM than I already was.

Also everyone, there are Easter Eggs GALORE on these discs, if you haven't noticed already - just play around with the directional buttons on your remote and you should find most of them. Hopefully someone will make up a comprehensive list so none of us miss any.

Is this one of the easter eggs?

I'd like to get this, but $90-119 is way too expensive for me. I still have my previous DVD box set that I got for around $40 something a few years ago.
I'm going to hold off for awhile until it goes on sale somewhere. Lord knows I don't need this right away. I have plenty to watch right now.

It will, rest assured. I can see this being $90 again in a month's time. My 'Buy Order' is set a little lower...$65. I may have to wait until BF for that, but I'll see it this year.

Re: Twin Peaks - Series & Fire Walk With Me
I watched the first disc and I actually think the Vudu HDX versions look better than the BD. There are quite a few white specks in the first two episodes and even more in the pilot. I also feel the DVD of the pilot looks better upscaled than the BD.
