So the unrated cut of Evil Dead is getting released tomorrow on digital platforms only. I hope to watch it, but will any places have it available for rent? I can stream on my tv through the playstation store or amazon, but on itunes I only see it available to buy. From the comparisons I have read, it should have all the scenes from the trailer that were cut out.

Bought mine at a flea market for $2 this past summer, I'm happy with what I got, only thing more I could've wished for would be a slipcover but I'm weird like that. I don't think I need to worry about an extended cut (unless I can find it at a flea market for $2), my wife thinks this version put The Exorcist to shame, I gotta admit, I thought it was pretty good too.

I was able to rent the unrated version off of Amazon, and watched it last night. It was mostly extended scenes and alternate takes, but there was stuff added that was probably cut to avoid an NC-17. The scene with a possessed Mia cutting her tongue from the trailer is sick to watch, being the most notable scene put back in the movie. I wish this version would get a bluray, but for everyone who likes the movie its worth a rental.

For anyone interested, the Unrated/Extended Cut was recently released on Blu-Ray in Japan and Sweden (?)
