Today Anchor Bay Entertainment, McFarlane Toys and AMC unveiled the design of The Walking Dead Season 3 Limited Edition Blu-Ray Set. The Walking Dead Season 3 Limited Edition Blu-ray Set features a replica of The Governor's walker head aquariums seen earlier in Season 3. As an added interactive bonus, the aquariums can actually be filled with water and come with five walker heads that can be arranged in any order. Plus, the aquariums light up. I got a feeling the prototype looks a lot cooler than the final product. Plus, I don't know if I'd want to "just add water" to a DVD case. That can't be good.

The concept sounds cool but I have a feeling in person it would probably not be. Plus putting water in the case doesn't sound like a very good idea unless you're keeping it separate from all your other Blu-ray's and stuff. On top of that I would think the zombie heads would start to look like crap and flake and stuff if they're in water.

What if it's just a tiny window of water and the heads are behind that (not in the water)? I can't imagine it will be like an actual fishtank.

It's probably going to make the set 3 times more expensive than the regular one. I'd rather use the money to buy other Blu-Rays.

2 tanks of water with the heads in it and the discs in the base underneath. its probably asking for disaster but as long as you don't have an earthquake and aren't clumsy around it you should be fine

I haven't bought a novelty Blu-ray set since I imported the Machete action figure set over a year ago and they release this? Fuck, count me in.

Would love to get it, but I am afraid my budget will only allow me to pick up the Reg BR version.
I have not watched one ep from S3 yet, the whole family likes to sit down and watch all the shows in 2 or 3 days. |

/\ AMC wouldn't have much say in it. Sony handles the home video releases of Breaking Bad, and Anchor Bay handles The Walking Dead.
If they had decided to split the season, the first half would have been released prior to the second half's premiere. |

Received the Walking Dead S3 LE Zombie Head Tank today.
The tank is cheaper and smaller than what I originally thought it would be--I was assuming about the same height as the Zombie Head, and next to the head, it just looks weird. Proportion is nice when you're collecting a particular series to display. The Zombie heads themselves are where the expense went. They look pretty good. Certainly NOT worth ~$100. Luckily I had a lot of Best Buy reward zone points I was saving. On a scale of 1 -10, I'd give it a 6. Could've been a lot more exciting. |

i cancelled my aquarium/tank set, and will pick the regular version up soon. i decided to clear space and sell the zombie head, since the price it is going for is just insane for what it is, and really, this show has been so fucking bad the last couple of years, i don't see ANYTHING fixing the problems aside from cancellation, which will never happen.
considering how amazing the 2nd through 4th years of the comic were (the entire prison saga), the third season was a fucking disaster. |

I bought this but I'm seriously thinking of sending it back. I bought the season 2 zombie head and figured maybe this would be as rare but it's not looking like it.
