The target: a diamond worth $20 million.

The reviews here and over at Blu-ray.com make it seem like a worthwhile blind buy.

Other than the packaging, is there any reason (special features, longer cut of the movie, etc) to get the Korea Version Limited Edition instead?

Cos the price is really steep.

i was lucky enough to see this in theaters (in farefax va w a packed crowd) i'm curious if the subtitles change colors for the different languages spoken. one of the running jokes is that someone will speak chinese, and a character will reply 'i didn't know you could understand that' in korean, green for chinese, yellow for korean and i think white for the english

Just so happened to be on the forum this morning. :)

Unfortunately, the subtitles are all in static white text on the Blu-ray, so any of those instances (like in the initial meeting between the Korean and Chinese teams) felt like nothing more than parts of the dialogue's narrative. That sounds like fun, though.

I don't remember different colored subtitles when I saw it. I can tell the difference between Chinese and Korean though.

As for blind buying the movie? If you like heist films and you like Korean films, then you'll probably like this. I thought it was pretty good, but not necessarily great. Certainly entertaining.

Price drop to $12.99 on Amazon & BB. Might be time for me to buy. I will use a $5 GC I have. Just worried how good are the English Subs.
