I'm not a fan of steelbooks but this one looks great and the limited edition includes a "72 page book including illustrations and articles written by the director, describing his artistic vision for this film".

for a flawed movie, Universal and the filmmakers are certainly going whole hog on releasing multiple editions of this one movie

Well it and Ted were apparently their only decent money makers. So I see why they're milking it for all it's worth.

I just hope the already greenlit sequel gets a better script and better pacing. I liked it well enough to watch it twice and will eventually get it on BD but feel it had the potential to be far better than what it was. So I hope the sequel lives up to that potential.

It's a shame there wasn't a US release that included that 72 page book. Are UK releases usually region locked?

I was oddly underwhelmed by this movie. I picked up the Best Buy steelbook, and I don't think that UK one is any better. Kind of meh for both of them. That UK edition does seem to be a bit of an overkill.

I went ahead and bit the bullet on the limited set. It came to £26.41 (or about $42.85), including shipping. I wish my Amazon Prime account could be used on Amazon.co.uk since the total price would have been £23.33 (or about $37.85) instead.
