I picked up the recent release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One, Volume One and was actually pretty surprised that I still somewhat enjoy it. It's definitely cheesy and a product of the 90s but it's still a pretty fun time. That said I don't know if I'd be interested in the newer series. The last incarnation of Power Rangers I really enjoyed was In Space. Lost Galaxy was sort of okay too. I wonder if there's any chance that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie will ever come out on Blu-ray.

I literally spit out my water reading the title. I thought I misread it.
Not going to lie. Loved the PR as a kid. The first ones...up to after The White Ranger. Really dug the movie as a kid too. I'd probably buy the movie for fuck's sake.

The first movie actually holds up well. The sequel, on the other hand, was never good. I'd be down for a BD release of the first movie.

I am REALLY not into these last two years of Power Rangers. It's cool seeing Bulk again after all these years, but the way that the rangers morph is just stupid. They have the cell phone-like morpher, which is alright. But they wave it around in front of themselves "air writing" some japanese character. It's just silly. They could have changed it so it didn't look so weird.
